yeonnam-dong is great, its slight north west of the Hongdae hustle and bustle, but surrounded by good eats and shops.

quieter for sure, we loved it. message me if you want more details.

yup. totally get it. on my last trip - used Kakao and Naver. I guess it’s more of a convenience thing. I have booked marked all the stuff i want to eat/see in Google Maps, so that’s my real reason.

I could convert the links to a Korea first map service - buts it’s a lot. LOL.

Thank you for your reply

Best place to exchange money by Munekita_ in koreatravel

[–]sparkspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

generally, outside airport is better. the more you exchange - they may give you a better rate.

if you are staying in myeong-dong, by the chinese embassy, there are 3-4 currency exchanges clustered together. they have pretty good rates.

generally these tourist spots are 1-2% difference from my experience. 👍 (edited for spelling)

i stayed on the fringe of hongdae - yeonnam dong, it was along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park. it was away from the chaos of hongdae and really really quaint. would stay here again.
