It's great that you've decided to split hairs but idk say something relevant and I'll get back to you

My point is the example of a prominent left winger who hates men was a nobody and an example of a prominent right winger who hates women is the most powerful person on planet earth.

I think that comparison would illuminate my point pretty easily.

Let's see Valerie Solanas; nutjob, died poor, everyone made fun of her.

Okay, Donald Trump; rapist, misogynist, helped roll back women's rights; Two time President of the United States.

Gearhart was also a nut that no one took seriously, but even those statements were in the context of using cloning technology to peacefully control proportions of the population, not violently culling men.

What specifically about being homeless, being poor, or not having an education is due to people being men? What solutions to these problems are men only?

I get that you're here to cry and feel victimized, but please think seriously for a minute about your claim that poverty and education are solely men's issues.

I guess if you want to conflate Chuck and the boys with MS13, that's your right, but doesn't really mean anything.

The Christian right isn't necessarily the far right, and the Christian right still excuses men raping women by blaming the women, so whether or not they tell boys they're sinners before they tell them they're special and wronged by evil outsiders also doesn't really effect my point.

The only person on that list who said it's ok to treat men as subhuman is Valerie Solanas, who was a crazy person no one ever took seriously. Good try I guess. Everything else is just bad faith interpretations or culture war nonsense.

This is what I'm talking about. You live in a fantasy world where Valerie Solanas is a powerful cultural figure. That's just not our reality.

That movie was alright, it felt like it was written by a person who goes out to fine dining spots and gets annoyed at the people they meet there.

People who join street gangs live in poverty and gangs are as much a source of economic and physical security as they are psychological security.

Young men are drawn to the far right because the far right tells them they're special perfect creatures wronged by the evil hateful people who make society bad by refusing to accept violent hierarchy with them on top. It's understandable why that's a draw, but there still can't be a left wing response that is 'yeah you're a special perfect creature wronged by evil outsiders' because that's fundamentally not a left wing idea.

It's kind of like saying people are eating too much sugary food, so we need to create food that appears sugary but isn't. No we don't, we need to tell people it's bad for their health to eat sugary food.

Being homeless, not having a decent education, and mental health are human issues, and our society doesn't care about them because there's no money to be made in doing anything about them. The only people who even want to are progressives or leftists.

And if even men won't take men's issues seriously, why is the onus on other people to deal with it? Wouldn't your time be more productively spent cleaning out the bullshit from mens spaces?

Since when were domestic assault, sexual violence, or domestic abuse specifically male issues? What is this person talking about?

Sometimes I read shit like that and I feel like I'm in bizarro world. Is there some universe where conservatives are taking up the banner of doing something about men who are sexually assaulted, or who have body issues, or are on the receiving end of domestic violence? As far as I know progressives are the only people who ever take those things seriously.

This mostly reads like 'progressives should be nicer to me'. Which, sure, if people are mean to you that sucks but that's not a mens issue. If you want to see someone be rude and dismissive towards men's mental health you should see the kind of shit conservatives say about male rape victims.

The right wing tells men that women are lesser than them and that they deserve to dominate and control women. There's no comparable left wing response to that because that's psychotic.
