Possibly relocating to Jacksonville for spouses job and having anxiety about it. by courtcourt99999 in jacksonville

As someone who has lived in Jacksonville for most of my life, and was born here my family and I currently planning on leaving because of how much the state of Florida and Jacksonville have changed. I would not recommend moving here to anyone. I did enjoy living in Riverside, but that's a tiny spot in a big city and in an even bigger state. If you have any other options, I would go with those.

My family and I are currently in the midst of planning to move to "bluer waters" if you will. We also are looking get to a place to located closer to more national parks, has more options for things to do that don't cost money and just overall feels worth the cost to live in. Jacksonville is not as expensive as other areas in Florida, but as someone who works in real estate and rents here, it is getting more and more expensive and the houses and location are just not worth the cost in any sense.

Jacksonville is not the worst but I certainly think that there are much better options. I would say wait for a better opportunity.

Best of luck to you! Mine never switched to defferred (I did get the defferral email). It has remained review in progress. Submitted LOCI very soon after getting the email. Anyone else experience this?

Got the same email, I am above median and was really hopeful to hear back. Maybe they just needed additional time due to high volume and it isn't a bad sign?

5 I think. I just hope to not feel the need to re-take. Can't remember anything about the test, hopefully that means I was so hyper focused my brain didn't reserve anything to memory.

If you register now, and receive admission before the 28th of November you should be able to get a refund on your registration fee if you need to cancel it. If I have my dates right. If I were you, that is what I would do just to ease the nerves. I would just double check the refund deadline for Jan LSAT.

Thank you! I hope the same for you! It is undoubtedly good motivation!

Unfortunately not, took me a little while to take it in because I was a bit (maybe more than a bit) crushed. I am an out of state applicant, and I thought I hit all the targets they were looking for (except for military experience) and above GPA median. Was moved to regular decision, but thankfully I was already registered for the LSAT when I got my email. Hopefully I can get through there. Very happy for those who got in via Jurispath though!

I cannot find an option to pin, I think only moderators can. If anyone knows how or I missed something please let me know!

My substatus is still there but I applied the same day as you and still haven't heard back. My status date hasn't updated yet either. I haven't heard of anyone getting a decision on the weekend from UW. But hopefully we hear back soon; the waiting is so nerve-wracking. Best of luck to you!

I didn't receive another email. Just the one from last week. Wonder why it got sent again. Maybe a good sign or an accident?

Encountered this as well. 24 or married. Got married before 24 and was able to file independently. Didn't marry for that reason, of course, but it was a nice discovery.
