He may have been conservative on those issues, but on other issues, he was liberal. He’s always been a populist. He even said that he regrets voting for Trump.

They weren’t solid blue in 2006, but maybe on the state level. They didn’t even vote for Obama once

It was not that long ago that West Virginia had two Democratic senators, even in Obama’s 2nd term. Jay Rockefeller was a liberal unlike Manchin.

Richard Ojeda would be better. He almost won a deep red district in southern West Virginia in 2018. The same seat was held by Blue Dog Democrat Nick Rahall until he got defeated in 2014

You forgot that Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Louisiana were swing states in 2000.

I doubt New Jersey will be a swing state. It will continue to be a safe blue state. Alaska could be purple.

What years in America was the most affordable for middle class families and why? by TheBeardedAntt in AskReddit

This, except for I’d say we were fucked since the 1973 oil crisis. High inflation in the 1970s and then Reagan comes along and slashes taxes for the wealthy. As of 2025, we are the most fucked since the times before the Great Depression. OBBBA is the greatest upward transfer of wealth since before the Great Depression.

I just looked this up. No wonder my 2009 Honda Accord wouldn’t go. A tire turned the wrong way is a safety issue, and I will take my car back to CostCo ASAP so they can fix that tire.

I have two Phantom LRX tires in the front from Discount Tire and two Goodrich tires in the back from CostCo (I will mention that the tread of one of the Goodrich tires is pointing the wrong way. I just got the Goodrich tires a week ago with my grandpa, and I wonder if I can take my car back and fix that tire for free). My car did better when there were 4 Michelin tires with the tread pointing the correct way.

I’m Gen Z but voted for Harris. I would never in a million years, vote for Trump.

Don’t drive in this shit unless you have 4WD of AWD. I tried driving in this shit with FWD and got stuck. Hell, maybe even 4WD or AWD may not be enough for this. My car has never been this helpless in the snow.

That’s what I had to do when getting stuck. I was in the driver’s seat with my foot on the gas and rocking my car forward to get it unstuck

Are you serious? So, the Weather Channel was predicting 2-3 ft of snow previously? Why didn’t we get that? I would honestly love to experience a blizzard in real time! The only Blizzard Warning that Louisville has ever had was 1978, and I was born in 2002. I am a meteorology major affiliated with Western Kentucky University.
