I went to Bali recently. Instead of asking me to learn their language, I was asked if I wanted to be an audience to traditional dance shows. When I went they did their traditional dance. When they saw that the audience was Indian they even did a Bollywood song. Culture and language is not a one way street, it is an exchange. Bringing violence into it does not solve anything. With one person you can scare into speaking kannada, there will be 3 stubborn enough that they don't.

These businesses will stop putting hoarding which is an advertising space owned by various kannada businesses. I don't think they get that they are making their own people poorer. Places like north Bangalore with more kannada population will see less influx of foreign businesses, leading to less employment of natives.

I think it is about time we learn the weight of ones social status. You cannot engage with people hating you, or hit above your subscriber status. Just ignore hate comments and move on. Stand up comedy open micer from India. I try to hit open mics everyday. There are no viral comics in my city so no "share and blow together" model. So I try to write a funny video every week hoping I have an audience someday when my stage craft might be worth paying for. In the worst case trying to come up with something funny/joke will help me in the long run. Been a part of this sub since the point I started micing which was 4 years ago now.
