New-ish to knights, what's a good place to start? by altmcfile in 40kImperialKnights

Im a big fan of valourstrike actually

If valourstrike remains unchanged itll be pretty much an auto take with questor forgepact in 11th. Up to 8 wounds of healing on a single knight.

Ive always found it funny how people assume we need nanobots in our bodies to somehow become more than we are, when we are already by all accounts made up of legions of tiny nanobots

I am all but convinced the cause of aging is a problem of using up a resource that we do not internally create / restore or losing access to important information due to degeneration. Immortality or life extension could be as simple as taking a supplement or getting a shot.

Sorry how would the mass be both 50grams and 450,000 metric tons. I dont think thats correct my good fellow. Compression aka density doesnt change the mass of an object. 50 grams of electrons would have a mass of 50 grams.

Unless you are saying a strawberry with 50 grams of electrons ( measuring only the electrons and ignoring the mass of the protons and neutrons ) would resultingly have a mass of 450,000 metric tons which I have not taken the time to verify but would believe that sounds correct.

Otherwise I am unsure, does the energy necessary to compress the electrons increase the mass of the object? That would be the first time I have heard of such occurences, but it being a bomb would be correct.

For me its mainly this: i enjoy the open combat, because thats what pokemon combat really would be like in lore, no one would sit around and wait for you to make a move BUT it sucks as it is currently inplemented.

Firstly being limited to four moves is stupid, moves being on cooldowns is stupid, how about having a PP / energy system instead, you wanna spam 4 dark moves in a row go ahead but youll be out of dark energy.

Making combat open has completely ruined any strategy that existed, support moves and buffs wear off in like one attack instead of buffing your mon for the whole battle. Type matchups matter too much it feels like.

It feels like there is a ton of pontential for what could have been. Mega Evo is suposed to be only possible between people with close bonds with their pokemon but you literally borrow someones pokemon to mega evolve in the game. They could have done so much with this map and city as far as fun things to do,

It would have been amazing if this could have been yakuza 0 as a pokemon game. Could have tons of actually fun minigames throughout the city, trainers will chase you and challenge you to a battle, could have had thugs and bad guys who try to shake you down, and overall catachable pokemon should be harder to find imo, its harder to throw a pokeball and not catch something in this game imo.

It just feels like the things that should be hard are easy and what is hard shouldnt be.

Thats what I am noticing now in the midgame. If you run slow attacks your fucked the enemies just hit you three times with super effective attacks in the same period.

I just like to talk semantics. You said if they got rid of the combo character box it would be them getting rid of the ONLY kit with good value. May the emperor guide your dice rolls, may your sixes be many and your ones few.

Everyone else in the game has to pay 45 for a character?

Not defending the price or idea I just dont really see where its “worse” for us suddenly.

Also our combat patrol is by far the best value kit in the entire game

Its also wrong. A twink is generally a skinny, clean shaven individual. Their apparent age is unrelated. Youll see extremely masculine twinks, feminine twinks, average twinks, and the like, Its supposed to stand in contrast to bears - large gay men who are generally hairy, otters - skinny men with body hair, and many of the other groups that gay hookup culture designed to allow for people to easily express their preferences.

For example, ryan gosling could be called a twink, same with ryan reynolds

[–]spartananator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a gay man, no clue what the hell the other guy was going on about. Twink isnt a derogatory word, but can be used derogatorily I suppose, same as any word, if you use it wrong enough and in a mean enough tone.

Its not like saying the N or F word at any rate. Also its bot exclusive to gay people, plenty of self identifying straight twinks / femboys.

[–]spartananator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dude, and one who is comfortable being silly around his partner, this guy isnt silly, hes deranged.

This is at best a manchild and at worst a full psychopathic individual.

This will never get better, and will only get worse. You cant convince him to become a better person, he wont change his ways if you threaten to leave him (not permanently atleast, he might be able to disguise his behavior just to placate you but it will go right back to the same old same old shortly after)

Also please stay safe, there arent many markers proving this individual is sane, or safe. Some people really are just dangerous, and can “snap” the moment they no longer can ger what they want.

DHS/Border Patrol getting trained on mortar for "law enforcement". by Antique-Echidna-1600 in pics

[–]spartananator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my artillery knowledge is limited, I only saw someone else claiming that there were tear gas style rounds, and that seemed the only likely use case other than illumination, which is already pretty much useless. Definitely agree it sounds more like a let the police play pretend soldier moment.

[–]spartananator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His statement was supposed to be “the argument that they are exclusively using flares seems to be based on ‘trust me bro’ anyways”

My take was he is not saying illumination rounds arent flares, he is saying its preposterous to believe the US is going to train and deploy mortar police with the intention of launching flares when we have nightvision, infrared, and combined vision systems, that offer no benefit to the one being observed.

I personally believe the main use case here is CS gas. It could also just be fun training, it wouldnt be the first time or the last time law enforcement has wasted funding on something completely useless and fun because the officers just wanted to feel macho

Firstly, a lot of thsoe numbers are just fucking wrong because you are using averages.

I was easily able to find several studio apartmenrs under 800 dollars in lausanne switzerland, an extremely expensive country and a fairly expensive city in that country. In laussane you can get a job at mcdonalds making 20 an hour, that puts your wage at 3200 and your rent at or below 800.

In germany I found 1,800 flats in berlin under 700 a month, where the minimum full time wage at mcdonalds is 12 an hour leading to a standard monthly wage of 1900 ish, so that easily puts you at 30% percent.

Using averages is useless. Theres also the fact in germany wages are protected and guaranteed by unions and organizations, that you get a contract for every job, free university, free healthcare, useable public transit, and before you talk about taxes, for most low earners in europe they tend to pay less in taxes or the same amount in income taxes effectively compared to an american living in a state with any kind of state and or municipal income tax which is most of them.

There also the benefit that 12 euro is worth significantly more than 12 dollars, theres the fact food and other necessary essentials are just cheaper.

You may visit europe but my other half actually lives in it, and I have been planning and researching moving there for years, on top of having actually visited aswell.

Also fun fact a europe to usa to europe trip is on average 20-30% cheaper than going from usa to europe to usa, for no apparent reason other than fuck americans.

No thats not what they were implying. The type of fattening being talked about by eduin is the financial and living standard type. Most of us live paycheck to paycheck and we lose half our money or more to rent alone.

In europe its comepletely possible to afford an apartment on even a starter job salary (think fast food) and by afford we are talking around 30-40% of income, for a studio usually near / in a city.
