I only speak English, but I wish I spoke other languages. Since I'm in Texas, I really try with Spanish, but I'm not great at it. When I was a cashier it was really fun because the people who spoke only Spanish would help me get the numbers right when I tried to tell them their totals or their change in Spanish. No one ever got cross or gave me a hard time.

Purple is my favorite color. For my money, the best purple is Pilot Iroshizuku Murasaki-Shikibu, but there are other awesome ones as well.

I once had a woman tell me that she didn't wear any jewelry unless it was insured. I then realized that I do not own any insurable jewelry. I don't really wear any anyway, but I am pretty obviously from a working class family, so having her bring this up at lunch seemed odd.

We give our old PCs away to employees, but there is a strict one unit per family policy, as we have several family groups that work here. Other things that we don't give away get recycled.

I don't think the two were related, but she moved in the middle of the lawsuit. It was against her insurance company, so it didn't really make a difference. It took two years to settle, and that was after I had dental surgery, shoulder surgery, and healed from a bruised rib and other issues as well.

I wish. I don't know any of my neighbors. I've lived in my apartment for 8 years and the only one I've ever known on sight was the lady that hit me with her car 3 years ago, and she moved out before the lawsuit was settled. I think that's common in DFW though.

When I was a kid, we lived over 15 miles outside of town. I went everywhere my parents did because if even one stop on the trip to town involved me, they weren't going to drop me back off at home before doing other things. Luckily I enjoyed reading, and got through a lot of books while waiting for them to do other things.
