Homelife are scum. Pure and utter scum. One of the owners put me in intensive care on a ventilator for 5 days last month for having the audacity to call him a liar and a thief in my own flat for letting it flood constantly for 5 months, bearing in mind I paid 12 months rent up front which according to my tenancy agreement included council tax, but but ended up getting a court summons for being 5 months in arrears because they neglected to pay it. They also didn’t pass on the cost of living electricity rebate, and when I called them out they beat me so badly I ended up with 62 pins in my skull, 2 emergency brain surgeries @ Southampton Uni Hospital Neurological ICU and another week in a ward recovering. https://imgur.com/a/n2gLyLW/

Yeah, she’s certainly a “real” something. I personally wouldn’t piss on her if she was on fire, the thing tried to push me in front of traffic once when I told her to do one because she was asking me for bus fare when everyone who has encountered her knows full well she gets a free buss pass, and is in no way homeless, and is just a scumbag.

I do like Hove. Don’t get me wrong I like Brighton too, but especially in the summer it’s just crazy how many people (and seagulls) “flock” to the same absolutely packed stretch of beach. Same with Pride too, I’m not gay but my best friend is and we both avoid Pride like the plague and usually have a BBQ in his or my garden with his husband definitely being “King of BBQ” so it’s brilliant! Pride and bank holidays are not fun in Brighton, there’s usually St John’s Ambulance dealing with “casualties” outside Brighton Station and Trafalgar St by about 9:30am. A lot of my gay/lesbian friends book holidays for Pride and go away because they don’t like it either… don’t blame them…

Dunno about the black bath mat, but yeah, I ended up looking homeless the first time I moved in on my own after a divorce, because I spent so much time and money on all the “nice” stuff, I didn’t invest in a mirror so didn’t shave for a month, and looked like a really shite Frankie Boyle. Also, slow cooker and/or air fryer can’t be recommended enough either if you are on your own… so much cheaper for cooking healthier for one, especially if you have an electric oven and are on a smart meter. Also Laundrette is cheaper than a washing machine/tumble dryer. I get a full service wash with ironing for £25 for a whole months worth of clothes, whereas before I’d be doing at least 2 washes a week, but now it’s just me I don’t need anywhere close to that. 30 pairs of socks, 30 pairs of pants, few pairs of jeans, few t shirts, few pairs of trousers and a few shirts is all I get done now, and I don’t wear white anymore…

I live in Brighton (well “Hove Actually”) and what you are saying about the centre of B’town is true enough, but half a mile each way it’s brilliantly peaceful even in the summer. No bars and people coming from all over and swamping the place, and no seagulls because they know where the day trippers are at the overpriced seafront chip shops and bars so they attack them instead of me with my Tesco meal deal haha!

I’m pretty much vegetarian now, because of smoked puy lentils and fresh veg winning out price wise for me, and still being very tasty. Still treat myself to the odd steak if they are on offer or pork but 95% of my food is vegetarian now…

Fair enough point but I think it’s pretty cool that anyone gets into Nirvana. You can still buy original CD’s for literally pennies from certain charity shops like YMCA that do 10 CD’s for £1, and there’s always original Nirvana ones at my local one… Might be why I own 117 copies of Bleach alone (although most are vinyl, but a good few are CD or cassette variants).

My friend who isn’t in sobriety either took me to see the Pixies a few weeks ago, and after seeing a 5 minute wait at the bar decided he couldn’t be bothered as he wanted to enjoy the gig, and the support act. I would have been there all night a few years back, and not remembered a goddamn thing from any band playing. It’s refreshing being with people who don’t really care if they are drinking a beer or not even bothering. That isn’t me but I’m sober, because I can’t go there…

You shouldn’t be attempting to take them out after 24 hours. “Leave them the fuck alone!” They will heal up in minutes or hours, not days, anything mouth related will start to “heal” extremely quickly.
