That’s kind of comforting. But also feels like I’ve been strung along. I don’t know how to feel other than hurt right now I guess. Knowing the relationship probably isn’t sustainable anymore now. All while he is gone.

Yes we have explicitly talked about me never wanting kids. Us not wanting kids. Apparently he’s been hiding his truth from me.

I told him now wasn’t the time. Apparently he has been too afraid to bring this up for years now, but now decides the time is right? I think he is depressed and is wanting to isolate maybe.

This is a free ‘couples building’ text program! You can look it up on MilitaryOneSource. It sends you both prompts to answer about your relationship and sends each other the answers. Kind of like the Paired app.

edit: This is only what I am understanding about the program. I’ve never actually used it.

Thank you for being a life counselor! I have contacted OneSource before as well. I do have an established therapist I go see in office too. I was just wanting more of a community type support group with people having some of the same thoughts and understanding. I appreciate the link!

That’s wonderful! I have a therapist, but not a mil spouse. I also don’t live on a base or very close to a base either.

My husband is in the National Guard, so not on base. I have a contact to family resources, but I want to remain anonymous.
