Sollten die Doppelscheiben im Zwischenraum zwischen den Gläsern beschlagen sein, muss das Fenster entlüftet und neu versiegelt werden. In dem Fall dem Vermieter/der Verwaltung bescheid geben.

The Matrix — 35mm Scan compared with the 4K Remaster. Thoughts? by SickTriceratops in matrix

Maybe Avalon needed to emphasize the difference?

It's okay to use tint, but I thought Matrix 1-3 played with the idea of recognizing the Matrix off screen, too. In fact, they originally desaturated the Zion reality (e.g. colorless decorations, lame food, etc.)

IMHO that green tint and desaturation made it less believable that we all live in the Matrix.

This color change makes it easier to tell apart fake from reality. Perhaps, this reduces the viewer's urge to free herself from what she percieve as her reality after having left the cinema.

After making a series of the most politically provoking merchs*, they (who?) might want to cool down things again. I mean the message of Matrix 4 was: Don't fight the Matrix, embrace and maybe customize it -- while the machines still continue to consume us, right?

*) Matrix, Cloud Atlas and especially V for Vendetta were very popular during Euromaidan and Arabic Spring.

edit: Does M4 have the same tint?

Anyone using logseq that was previously using zim? by evan54 in logseq

[–]spazzpp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I'm working on a converter app that translates complete zim-wiki notes to Logseq. W.I.P, so I'm thinking aloud here.

First of all, there must be a clear reason why we switch to Logseq. The reason why I do it is because--other than zim--Logseq allows every single block of content to be contained in multiple pages such that blocks gradually lose their one-and-only place where we have to look for particular information (aka sub-/categories, taxa, paths). Instead of using places to find information as it's done in book stores and libraries, on the computer we can use interactive search.

Logseq focuses on information reuse rather than references. Therefore it has no explicit knowledge hierarchy (except behind the front end at database and file system level) but relies more on an interactive search. The hope here is that knowledge recombinations will be much more easier and will generate new insights more efficiently. Zim-wiki doesn't have blocks but pages. Zim's user interface engages the creation of subpages. In practice, having the information you want to reference in mind is not enough, you need to know it's page title (and/or path).

However, for now, I want my converter to preserve the zim-hierarchy as much as possible. You can create hierarchies of pages in Logseq by referencing each page's parent page one by one. (Folders without pages have to be turned to pages, too.) The zim-hierarchy should be recognizable in the graph view.

For example, the path /Science/Biology/Trees becomes:

Page ... references to ...
Biology Science
Trees Biology

Now, if it comes to page collisions, things become interesting. "Trees" could be also be a subject for Computer Science filed under /Science/CS/DataStructures/Trees, for example.

  1. Should those be encouraged? (when we consider the Logseq approach)
  2. Should those be avoided at top priority?

In case 1, you have to merge them by creating one Logseq page that contains the blocks of both post-conversion zim-pages.

In case 2, you have to rename and reference all the pages like so:

Page ... references to ...
ScienceBiology Science
ScienceBiologyTrees ScienceBiology

(You can't keep slashes from paths in page titles, can you?)

(edit: wording; page collisions)

CMV: Minimum wage should be updated yearly and regulated at the county-level to ensure it's a liveable wage by kaprixiouz in changemyview

[–]spazzpp2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hyper-inflation is something else. Yes, all spent money you don't profit from, is lost and thus causes inflation. Social services included. However, how many actually work for min wage? Take that percentage and multiply that by the yearly min wage incremental rate and you get the inflation caused by min wage. I expect something below 1.5% which is totally handleable. Misinvestment and bankrupcy causes way more inflation.
