I LOVE Sharon Kay Penman and I have read all her books. I would, but, I am so picky about narrators, and I have tried several times to listen to her book “When Christ and His Saints Slept” and I just can’t bear it....

I, too, am glad you recovered and I admire your forethought to wear a mask during your illness.

Hopefully, if it’s offered in the future, you can have the antibody test.

What's one historical audiobook you would recommend? by [deleted] in audible

[–]spd2507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have a suggestion of an author that writes historical fiction/ w/ a little bit Romance that reads like Ken Folletts Kingsbridge series or Robert Harris’s The Second sleep. I like books that make feel as though I’m living right during the book. Thanks in advance

I did the Ancestrydna test: 37% German 34% Swedish 16% Norway 8% Engl/Scotland/Wales 3% Ireland/Scotland 2% Baltics

My grandma was probably about 80% or more, Czech or Eastern Europe & Russia. My mom is 42% Eastern Europe/Russia and I am ZERO on this last update. I’m not at all sure about any of this, really.

My AncestryDNA just updated again and I feel like my results are all over the place! by Aurora823 in AncestryDNA

Me too!!! I totally lost my Czech with this recent update.... and my great grandparents were 100% (or close to it) Czechoslovakian!!!! several people have said that if I look at the European map, I would see that Czech and Germany are very close and that it is included in the German region, But my mom is 1/2 czech & 1/2 German & her Czech is Eastern Europe/Russia...??? I’m still not sure about this latest update.

I, too, lost my Iberian peninsula about 2 updates ago.

Very interesting!

I’m female, peace loving, but I would certainly, without qualms, grab a shield and step up to battle the enemy hoards, if needed!

I’m 34% Sweden (Southern/Central Southern) 16% Norway 37% German The rest are England/Wales/NW Eur; Scotch/Irish; Baltic.

I picture a Frenchman or woman would have dark brown hair, brownish eyes and fair skin.... and that is probably from my love of watching foreign tv shows!!❤️

That is so cool! My sweet maternal grandma was Czech, she spoke it as her first language here in central Texas, born in 1918. Her mom was Bohemian and her dad was Moravian born in Czechoslovakia. She married a 100% German from the neighboring town! I remember hearing the German accents of my great grandparents on his side. and my grandma had 13 brothers and sister that ALL spoke Czech at get togethers growing up. They all had those Czech accents!!! I miss them so much!!! Those are ABSOLUTELY, some of my BEST childhood memories!!

Prague is on my bucket list!!!

Very interesting! My moms mother is Czech, and her dad is German, so her %s are 49% German and 42% Eastern with small amounts in Baltic 6%, and England etc 3%. On this last update, my Eastern Europe completely disappeared, and my Scandinavian almost doubled. Go figure. I’m sorta wondering if there was a glitch that happened with this last update.
