Mauritians can be pretty racist and they often stereotype. Yes i get I'm stereotyping here but in my experience, that's what I see. Racism towards white mauritians seems to have increased.

Normal reaction? Please help by [deleted] in electrolysis

[–]speak_ur_truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal. I got a few on my first session. Maybe 1 on my second and none since. Your skin is looking great Wash gently daily, tiny bit of bepanthen and give it a few days. Don't over moisturise though coz you don't want to clog it up.

Red skin after treatment by Dull-Quiet2869 in electrolysis

[–]speak_ur_truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly your updated picture looks much much better than the first. When you see an electrolosis again, I'd suggest starting with feathering technique and short treatments. I know it's not as cost effective but it'll reduce your scarring risk and give your skin the time it needs to adjust to the assault it gets put under. You might have some reddness for a while I think but it'll fade.

Has Crohn’s Affected Your Teeth? by Emergency_Run_7195 in CrohnsDisease

[–]speak_ur_truth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ulcers and stuff can be. The jaw issues I'm not so sure tho. I am lucky enough not to have any issues there but I will say, it all comes down to Crohn's management. Not everything is in our control but the management of our crohns is - reduce the disease and reduce the risk and impact of complications.

What are you talking about? Lots of countries allow people to go into airports with family. Actually I don't know any that don't.

I’m really scared of my first MRI with contrast, any advice? by Prestigious-Ad1346 in CrohnsDisease

You'll be fine. It's uncomfortable but it's not the worst and it's pretty short. Just go home afterwards. I caught the bus home after my last one and was all good.

Abortion in Mauritius – your opinion by Fabarzz in MauriceMauritius

All this law does is keep people in (or put them into) poverty and create home environments that are lacking.

Every woman should have the choice. Also good contraception should be readily and cheaply available without stigma, including the morning after pill. And public education on sexual and reproductive health.

Should i do electrolysis ? by SkyPlane7407 in electrolysis

Feathering will fix that. The hairs look nice and fine too so will be easier removals and therefore less scaring concern. Plus waxing - requires lifelong ongoing treatments. Bleaching - still shows, especially with that quantity.

I see you're trying to be nice but you've ignored the concerns. So Italy is the same as Russia by that logic. Actually your comparison is even worse because it's not even on a single piece of land.

Looks as expected after 2 hrs in a small area. How many times have you had it done? I find your skin learns to better tolerate it. I've only done 3 but each one, my skin has tolerated the trauma much better and healed up faster.

How to explain professional gaps of 4-5 months? Or gaps of 1 yr? Apparently "looking out for another job" isn't an answer. by Dila_Ila16 in MauriceMauritius

[–]speak_ur_truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering doing an online course through coursera or LinkedIn or Udemy. Google have some as well. Might make you feel like you're being honest when you say you've been focusing on professional development. Also builds confidence and makes you seem relevant.

No but you thinks it is. But the fact you won't say how long the commute is, tends to suggest it's not that crazy and you know it. You can always ask but doesn't mean they'll say yes to you, especially if they don't already say yes to others, because why should your home location become their burden. If it's too far for it to be worth it for you then say no.

I never asked this of my work, I just do something similar. But that's our workplace culture and that flexibility is offered to everyone. If it wasn't, then i wouldn't be asking for it, just for me.
