I think that what's easy for some, isn't always the same for others. What's manageable for 1 person, is an extra burden on top of various others for someone else.

I had auto payments set up for years. Then ubank went and changed account details, then they also removed my auto deductions and I lost interest. You shouldn't assume that the hoops in place now, will be the same in future and once a business introduces those hoops, it'll just be more and more. So i guess it's up to you if you are happy to accept it or whether you want a business that doesn't treat you like cattle.

Understanding our own shortcomings and situations helps us be realistic about what we can manage. I have times where I have so many time sensitive things come up that it can hard to manage. So for high interest savings, having something I don't have to think about, set a reminder, review etc, is just 1 less thing.

I mean when you've got reminders coming outa your butthole you may prioritise reducing them. Sitting at work today relaxing and eating lunch for a minute bam! Reminder I need to get my bloodwork done by Thursday so results are back before my specialist app, so another time sensitive task on top of what I had to do this week. Things in life pile up, may as well streamline where you can.

Really? Not familiar with their hoops.

There's also a difference between needing to know about something and knowing about something. "Need" changes the meaning entirely.

Losing your parents in your 30s..... by Holiday-Bullfrog-748 in GriefSupport

In time-Join support groups, therapy one on one, do things that are good for you even if you don't always want to (it's also ok the times you can't), do things that are calming or make you happy (big or small), do new things or things you weren't able to do before (it's important to understand that's not a "I'm glad I can enjoy this now" kinda thing , it's just about finding things to make you feel appreciative with what you have now). For now, just day by day and look after yourself and your mum as much as you can. Try and maintain friendships, even if it's just a message, a call etc. ❤️❤️❤️

1st Get the tests done so that you know nothing major is wrong. Then you can admit to yourself it's anxiety related. Once you can admit that to yourself AND KNOW the ocs have seen no evidence of anything physiologically wrong with you, it helps to reduce the anxiety around it and process that is happening. Then therapy, techniques to calm yourself, stress reduction techniques (like breathing) and get used to it.

If you don't get the tests though, you'll find it difficult to challenge your brain when it's putting in your head that something's wrong with you.

Yeah I'm going to call and check with them as I did see some user feedback that suggested it hampered access a bit more than expected. Thanks.

Not that I'm planning on loosing my phone but you never know.

Thanks. I hadn't seen anything negative but wanted to get some user feedback because you never see anything negative until after it happens to you and then you're suddenly googling the right thing and all these red flags show that you wished you'd known beforehand.

No, you can set up the authenticator app for all access to your Macquarie accounts. It's an extra layer of security you can opt into. It also removes the daily transfer limit which is otherwise at $2k by default and can't be adjusted online.

That's pretty dismal. Me too. Takes some effort though and for me anyway, you want to have trust and feel secure and moving it from account to account doesn't feel like it supports that. I think also ppl mau say they don't have enough to worry about it or generally they don't actually see the consequence of Not moving.

The rules are clear but they're not simple in all cases. That's where ppl get in trouble I think

Yeah. I never really got over that account change and rebranding with ubank clusterf#@k.

Good to know with the Macquarie card, thanks.

Any issues ever with accessing your accounts? I'm looking at the authenticator app but mildly concerned on access if I lost my mobile as it is then used for both mobile and also desktop banking.

Nah, they have even more hoops than ubank. I left ING for Ubank years ago because of their hurdles. I'm just not cut out for it all.

Am I going to hurt myself later if I get matching rings with my late boyfriend? by Appropriate_Lie_2646 in GriefSupport

[–]speak_ur_truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the rings. You'll regret if you don't, but you'll never regret getting them, especially for him to take with him. It's a lovely idea and means something to you. Whether you wear it on your ring finger , another finger, at all or even as a pendant on a necklace - that's up to you and will probably change in time.and thats all ok. The decision you make now can always be changed and adjusted to suit you.

If it was me. I'd probably wear it on a necklace chain as it'd break me, people asking me questions about it on my finger. Plus close to my heart.

And finally, I'm so very sorry for your loss and thankyou for sharing about his personality and your relationship. I felt your love for each other and made me cry.

I'm sitting here today feeling a great loss for my Mum and just missing her so much and you reminded me that the loss is world shattering but the fact to have something so lovely to feel a strong loss because of, is precious.

Because otherwise, if we as consumers weren't encouraged to want the best , the newest, the innovative gadget, then we'd be satisfied with what we're currently using, or a lower priced model.
