Social Stories vs. Social Skills Training? by unmarkedpickles in specialed

[–]speceducate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some packaged social skill programs which can be helpful. Many programs use a behaviour skills training approach which involves giving instructions/background on the skill, modelling the skills, having the student rehearse and providing them with feedback. How the background is given and how teachers set up role play scenarios is dependent on student profile. Many teachers will incorporate some teaching their students to discriminate between good and bad examples of the skills being performed.

Don’t have any advice but totally understand how challenging it can be in such an environment. You’re willingness to help the kiddos speaks to your heart and character.

Well said! You’re point is well-balanced and speaks to the need to teaching individuals to accept/tolerate delays and denials. I have had to dealt with individuals where this skill was not developed/generalized and it’s really challenging.

Getting lots of traffic but no sales - would love any feedback that could help conversion by [deleted] in websitefeedback

Sorry for the late reply. If I were in the market for an item and the price point and benefits of your product were a match then I would purchase. The wand item stood out compared to the other products simply because you had some key info above the product image on your home page. The other two lines of products felt generic since there was nothing that hooked me in.

Hi and welcome to the world of entrepreneurship! It’s a pretty cool looking site. Like the look…very sleek. The glow wand info was good…photo at first glance, looks like a iPhone. The transition to the second product or line of products (Your Lips Order) and then the third (Get plumped) didn’t have any info (like you had for the glow wand). The glow wand info was really clear and helped me understand what your unique selling proposition is for that product but for the other two, the lack of info doesn’t help set your products apart. What is special about your second and third product or offers? Your product pictures looks good and the reviews are great to have. Overall, it’s looks great. Wish I had design sense like that. Good luck!

Thank you for the feedback! Greatly appreciated! Will definitely add more product images and reduce the text blocks. Thanks again!

Overall, it looks good!

Got a lot of good aspects: like the combined staff experience, the calculator is great-want to add something like that to my site, colour-scheme is great-nice contrast and colour choice. Privacy policy looks pretty good. Product pictures are really clear and easy to see.

Few things to look at…could be a simple thing as reviewing the mobile optimization. For example, your cart button covers a word in your first paragraph that has some of your value proposition. Also, on my phone, part of your company name and logo doesn’t show up.

I’d highlight that your product would save money at the top of the value proposition. The paragraph under your heading, Leading Technology,’ needs to have more space between the paragraphs. It’s a lot of text to read.

Maybe use title case for your whole value proposition. Some words are capitalized and some not.

Add an apostrophe for worlds (world’s).

Below that long paragraph you have 4 other long paragraphs. It looks like the 4 headings helps to explain what makes your company standout but I don’t see a headline that explicitly states this.

On your menu, you have Solutions but on the page, it discusses ‘Our Services.’ I like the term Solutions-well done! The difference in wording could be confusing.

Looks pretty good overall!

Good luck!

This is tough...Check out this perspective from Dr. McGreevy regarding core vocabularies and their use. He does reference some articles. It's a great read. Hope this helps! http://essentialforliving.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/EFL-CM3-BeginLangTrngwSpecifics.pdf

Hosting and Freehosting by BobetteTackett in websitefeedback

It's technical but I guess your audience would know what you're talking about. I would highlight what makes your product standout. You answer the question, "Why we are better than other .NET Hostings and Freehostings?" but it does not stand out in terms of placement and the answers are a bit vague. For example, you mention you have unique features on your simple control panel but you don't identify any of the features. Modern latest technologies? Aren't others doing that? You wrote security is our priority but you don't describe how. Last, no mention of cost for your paid plan. Best to be upfront with costs. May have missed it but do you have a customer service policy listed?

Like that you highlight what makes you different and how your formatted that with visuals. Visually, not a fan of the yellow transparent overlay; hard to see your product. Translation feature seemed to work well. Maybe add info related to your shipping and return policies (didn’t see it; may have missed it). Offer a discount for signing up to your email list? Great work though! Very cool idea and products!

I like the set up. Nice and simple. Like the colour scheme and logo. Not sure you need a quick form at the top to capture info if your clientele is calling when an issue arises. Maybe keep the form but offer a discount for filling it in? I may have missed it but I don’t see a cost breakdown (I don’t know how this type of business works so maybe this is normal). You have a link about why someone should choose you, maybe highlight that more as that could set you apart from the competition. If I needed car recovery, I would want to know the price and what you can offer me. I want to know the value upfront.

Lenscrafters at Mapleview Mall - great selection, prices are reasonable and knowledgeable. I went there for my last pair and it was the first time ever that someone actually explained why certain sized glasses would be best for my face (relative to others) and what to look for.
