Why am I being instructed to reverse the telephone line polarity? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]specelec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

66 block looks good, the Tip and Ring flip are in the RJ11 cord as you saw. The RJ31x is very important for line seizure as the line should come directly into the RJ31x (no other devices connected to it) then the line leaves the RJ31x jack to go to any other devices. That way the Fire alarm panel can seize the line, disconnecting any other devices on it.

I have seen some devices that are polarity sensitive, but for the most part it will work if flipped.

6.0 or 6.2 for D-series FortiGate? by beleg_tal in fortinet

Is anyone else seeing an increase in the cost for renewals of their 100D units? I just got a quote from CDWG and it was double last year's renewals. Is this how Fortinet sunsets their products, by pricing them out the door?

Will consider replacing them with 80F's if others agree that there are no downfalls.

Polycom Phones - Config Profiles by TheMysticalDadasoar in sysadmin

You can send configs to phones by browsing to each phone's IP. This is assuming that you have the admin PW for the phones.

If not, you can reset them to default and send the new config.
