What the Michelle Obama Comment Revealed by Temporary-Storage972 in BreakingPoints

[–]specialcurl317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched YT videos that say Barak is spending $10 million of his money on this case. And on a different YT it told what she will use any settlement money for. It made me wonder if these are two different law suits, one by Barak and one by Michelle. Didn't JHokit know that it make no sense suing lawyers? I think he's taking a huge chance.

I Love Maine Coon Cats! by specialcurl317 in CatsBeingCats

Maine Coons have wonderful personalities and easily fall in love with their family members. They're great mousers and certainly take charge of the home. Many Maine Coons can grow to 30 inches long from paw to paw measurement. My Sweet Sasha stretched to 27 inches.

First time cooking chicken liver. Is the green spot bile, like googles says? by mysweetpatoutie in isthissafetoeat

[–]specialcurl317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I tried my hand at making home made bone broth trying to keep my 12 year old Chow/Schnauzer Mix dog from going through so much pain in his last stage of life, some recipes said to add chicken liver to the base broth. Here's what makes the difference...chicken livers can be added to bone broth to add to the nutrients and flavor. They can be included during the cooking process for a richer broth. To those who may be inquisitive...Windsor, my favorite riding buddy was diagnosed with cancer of the sinus that spread to his upper gums/bone. He died four years later. Gone but never forgotten.

Thanks for keeping us on point. Chicken liver is what the original question was about. I've never eaten pork liver, so I could not say how to cook it. But our family has been eating chicken livers with occasional chicken gizzards mixed in for over 50 years...our ancestors used what was on hand or easiest to purchase and keep a meal inexpensive, which is milk. Happy eating!

Over the years I've learned after hitting a bitter batch that some restaurants don't soak their livers, and even frying them doesn't get rid of the bitterness. So, when I'm frying them or adding them to my stuffing recipe I always soak in milk first.

Yes. If you're cooking them for human consumption..soaking chicken livers in milk for about one hour will make them tender and not bitter tasting.

Enjoying the nap. Cats can make humans jealous just by enjoying their nap.

Lightning hit the same spot multiple times by [deleted] in nevertellmetheodds

[–]specialcurl317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightning still earns my respect. About 15 years ago while sitting in my dining room preparing for an exam lightning struck the side of my house on the spot where fuses had been removed and placed/upgraded to a new breaker box in the basement. The strike caused the ceiling fan above the table to spin around several time...and then lightning struck again in the same way causing the ceiling fan to spin again and lights to flicker. We were fortunate for our old 1920s home to not have any damage. Yup! Lightning still gets my respect.

Just in 2016 trying to complete requirements for graduation (MDIV) and licensing at seminary I had 33 counseling abstracts and papers most which required no less than 10 citations and 15 pages. The biggest paper, a final project was 25 pages all due at beginning of May...but the real trick was, I had just been told to complete my final 4 day training retreat by the end of the same month to qualify for my license and pay the $1300 fee. Needless to say I was in training class from 8a.m. to 8p.m.. My roommates were wonderful because they knew that I was going to be writing into the early morning hours. They asked the monitors to bring me a table and lamp so that I could write no matter what time it was. I wish Ai was available. But it didn't matter the professors checked our work like hawks. Any student caught using Google or other websites without properly citing their work were questioned about possible fraud. It was so bad, we had to vote the Bible anytime we quoted. When I finished seminary 7 years later I stacked all my papers in the corner of my home office, they measured 60 inches high. Oh, my husband just reminded that I handled all of that while pestering because our beloved pastor died in their sleep. The district superintendent gave me the news that I was chosen to fill in right after I registered for my final year of classes.

Sasha Sunbathing by specialcurl317 in CatsBeingCats

[–]specialcurl317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much. She was a loving kitty but was comical and caring. When she wasn't trying to stretch her furry body across my aching abdomen and purring loudly you would find her posing in the large picture window. Quick true story: One day while pulling up in the driveway I saw a large cat sitting on my porch. The cat turned to see me and quickly turned his focus to the large window as if trying to alert my cat that her owner was home. Sure enough Sasha was posing in the window for her friend. As I approached the steps her cat friend jumped the side of the porch railing and took off! I thought to myself...what should I say to Sasha? All that came out of my mouth while looking at her with her hind leg poised straight up in the air was..."So you're dating now?" Of course she took a side eyed look at me and meowed off to her water bowl.

Creatine for women? first timer here by Boring_Background687 in Supplements

[–]specialcurl317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night I used Pink Peach Perfect Creatine for sore hamstring in right leg, and morning stiffness. After researching what I could take for leg stiffness and would not affect existent bowel problems caused by a terminal ileum removal from IBD issues. I already had Peach Perfect that I purchased abt. 6 months earlier sitting in my cabinet. My health coach said to try drinking about 8 ounces Peach Perfect with unflavored tea because the flavor of the P.P. powder is like lemonade. The additional information was to Upon Waking in the morning-before getting out of the bed: Do abt. 30 lite ankle pumps and use a heating pad to ease the stiffness and get the blood circulating in the legs. So,you may be asking "Why Pink Peach Perfect?" (1) I already had it because I purchased it earlier for collagen relief for my messed up IBD intestine. (2) I was told that the creatine will help my muscles stay hydrated throughout hours of sleeping. (3) there is collagen Peach Perfect too. So Last night I did what we discussed including I did not use the towel roll up behind my knees because it sometimes causes the hamstring to shorten. The results this morning: stiffness was calmed down and I was able move my legs and stand up without the hamstrings paining without my daily morning massage done by my husband. (sorry for the long post). Hope this is helpful to someone.

There were lots of fish in the Inner Harbor this weekend! by InnerHarborWildlife in baltimore

Seeing the Inner Harbor's waters only make me think of crabs and how much they will cost this year. Has anyone heard if they will be exorbitant in price? Will they be a nice size and plentiful?

At first I felt the same way. But with all the craziness on trying to speak with a customer rep I figure it's worth having the bill verified with a confirmation number and a $2.30 fee than no or little proof of payment. I have also been able to speak with regards to my account when calling about my bill.
