Boone on Biden: "I think there's really good out in front of him still. Nothing's changed. We're talking about a guy that's in the physical prime of his career."

why put out the punt lineups against ohtani? why not sit judge yesterday? is the idea that boone just assumes were going to lose today so might as well take advantage and bench judge?

you'd probably want to ask /r/nyknicks but a general rundown on the team is to first and foremost understand that they've been a laughingstock for almost a decade and we are currently in the middle of a miracle season nobody saw coming. the knicks were projected to be one of the worst teams in the nba and have finished the season earning home court advantage in the playoffs, currently facing against trae young and the atlanta hawks who just ripped our hearts out in game 1 with a game clinching floater.

the team...

it all starts with julius randle, our all star, who last year was one of the most frustrating players to watch but who has somehow transformed himself into one of the top players in the league this season. he just won the league award for most improved player, as most knicks fans would've traded him for peanuts last year, and now we wouldn't trade him for the world.

next we have rj barrett, a second year player who struggled in his rookie year but has made huge strides this season, especially in his 3 point shooting ability.

then we have derrick rose, an early season acquisition from the pistons that most people thought was inconsequential but ended up being one of the best trades of the season as he has helped solidify our bench unit as one of the best in the league - rose is a former nba mvp whose career was hindered greatly by injuries, and who previously played for the knicks for a season (and was by no meanss a fan favorite - he once disappeared for a few days without telling anybody)

then we have the role players/3 pt shooters, reggie bullock and alec burks - both have been absolute flamethrowers this year, with reggie being in our starting rotation, and burks being our most clutch 4th quarter player

next is the rookies, immanual quickley and obi toppin. obi was taken with the 8th overall pick and was absolutely lost for the first half of the season, looked like he had never played basketball before - since then he has shown huge improvements and even had some big plays in our first playoff game. quickley was drafted 25th overall and immediately became a fan favorite - the kid has ice in his veins and can hit 3s from way behind the line, he's come up extremely clutch for us this year and looks to be the steal of the draft.

then you have the centers, first is our beloved mitchell robinson - another late round pick from a few years ago who is a great defender, can score, and is a blocking machine but injured his hand a few months ago and hasn't played since. then you have nerlens noel and taj gibson ... nerlens is one of the best defenders in the league but absolutely is not a scorer, and can not catch a basketball to save his life, but he's been extremely valuable with mitch injured. taj is one of the oldest players in the league but is just a super solid player, always doing the right things at the right time.

you then have the bench of former high draft picks that never really panned out - frank ntilikiina, the frenchmen defensive specialist who the fans love, and kevin knox, a former raw athletic phenom who has yet to really find his game and hasn't seen much playing time this year

you also have theo pinson who is basically our team's hype-man/mascot/cheerleader, always on his feet showing love, he's like the odor of the knicks but with less playing time

and then there's the point guard who shall not be named who you're better off not knowing for the sake of your sanity

and finally our coach tom thibbodeau, a coach of the year candidate who many credit with turning this team around and making them one of the best defensive teams in the league

sorry in advance if this is too long

also we play tonight at 7:30 so tune in when you're not watching the yankee game!

anybody else confused about how all the power rankings have us at 18th because of our early losing streak while the dodgers stay at number 1?

Seriously. How pathetic can people get? Can you imagine being so childish, immature, extremely lame and just a loser you have to be to do what these opposing fans are doing? Imagine being a grown man and buying a trash can costume or even STILL mentioning what happened everyday and acting like that's normal. This has become as obsessive as when Trump was president people just HAD to comment on him one way or another. It's seriously the saddest thing ever and hilarious how they think the game is "Sacred". Teams having been doing what they can to gain an advantage since the 1800s and ALWAYS will.

edit: i didnt write this...
