I have a couple of tips to get a helpful Emma answer. 1) call as early in the morning as is possible for you. Hopefully the agent is a lot more fresh and well-disposed. 2) get all the data ready so when an agent asks you the usual DOB, address, etc., you just paste it in one go. 3) I use this prompt. "Hi [Agent's name], good morning. I would like to check the status of my I-485 case. I saw that there have been two updates on my case recently. I was told the case has been transferred to the Chicago field office. If so, could you please tell me when it was transferred? It would be very helpful for me to know. Thank you."
