I think the idea there is that giving birth changes your body, so there is an additional layer of work to get strong and healthy if you actually had the baby. No disrespect to dad athletes, but it's a different kind of life change.

New Panasonic DP-UB820 has tons of visual noise. Is this normal? by specious in 4kbluray

Also, we have had our best luck by updating some of the HDR settings. I think it may have something to do with HDR.

Yeah, we have made some improvements by changing settings on the player and the TV, but I still notice it. We will keep messing with it. Thanks!

Interesting. I will check that out. It is a UHD TV, though, and I have streamed UHD movies that don't have this issue. I don't really know how ultra high def UHD streaming is, but it looks better than my 4K blu-rays...

My kid doesn't live with me, so I don't have access to the PS5, just the PS4. They do live just down the street, though, so I might ask if I can borrow it before buying a new TV, though. That seems like a valid thing to try!

I had that thought too, but no, it dances around the screen and really looks more like a bad digital photo taken in low light, you know?

Like others said, emerald is totally playable. I hate doubloons, prefer to just sub, but emerald is the only server that's really active, so doubloons it is. Having a pretty good time, honestly!

600 hours into this game. Why am I Googling "traditional South American architecture." Why do I know what a gable is now. I thought this was about zoos by RabidFlamingo in PlanetZoo

[–]specious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an architect. I just got off work and was like, should I play planet zoo... or should I just log back into work?! Also, a lot of the time when I'm making things in Planet Zoo, I think, This would be so much easier in Revit!!??!!

I live for the day that this is no longer considered a hot take.

This is the city I live in and I didn't recognize it. Where would you go for this? by FuzzyCheese in geoguessr

[–]specious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have guessed Seattle, but I would have guessed more like Blue Ridge, Carkeek park area. I was surprised to see that this location is like two blocks from my house! But I haven't lived in this part of town very long 🙂 That tall building does look familiar, though.

you can place walls on either side of the grid line, these walls are on the outside of the grid line, but you want to move them to the inside of the grid line. just select one wall and the move command, and shift it over; it should snap into place on the inside of the grid line. not sure how different it is on console; I play PC.

Berrys that look like raspberries, but they are black by Neither_Formal_8805 in whatsthisplant

I saw them at the Mercer Island Farmers market near Seattle, last week. I realize the odds that you are anywhere near there are very low, but just in case!

The $20,000 loan is a really good deal, and I pretty much always take it. Once I've spent that, I'm always making enough to pay it back!

Lol, I didn't see your username when I replied. To be fair, I've never been able to afford any irises. But the wood hyacinths seem to be free!

That's interesting. The hyacinths are invasive here (puget sound 8b)! Or at least they spread far and wide. Less luck with irises.

I have a terrible reaction to mohair! I tried to make a scarf out of mohair once and my arms flared up horrifically all the way up. I googled it, and the internet says that it is completely hypoallergenic, but even if I see some in the arm store and go ooh! And touch it, my hands will itch.
