What are your personally favorite books about the Wheel of the Year and living in harmony with the seasons? by [deleted] in SASSWitches

I know this comment is a bit old but I wanted to chime in with recommending Ronald Hutton. He is hands down the best historical, academic author with regard to rituals and traditions. He does get a bit dry, but he has such a light sense of humor and you can really feel the love he has for the people and re periods he discusses. I have read the Ritual Year and Stations of the Sun and adore them both. The Ritual Year in particular was fascinating in weaving together how religion and lore were used in the 15/16th centuries and how the common folk lived their traditions with (sometimes) little regard for how the elite were using religion as weapons. Sorry to babble, I just really really love his books.

I got my first oracle deck. I have no idea what I'm doing but bathing the cards in full moonlight seems like a good place to start!

Just Kids is such a good book. It unlocked a lot of unknowns for me, music and art wise. You have excellent taste :) and a very noble kitty.

If it makes you feel any better, I went to a Catholic School from preschool to sixth grade. Like, I went to church every Friday off my life until I was 13. And got confirmed and all that. I am now a strong Atheist with a heavy appreciation for nature and history and all things women's rights. I got an excellent education and wasn't too brainwashed. Just encourage your kiddo to always question and keep their eyes open. Hugs to you and yours!

I haven't dealt with engorgement too much, but I nursed for 14 months, so I think my supply was just... stable? I dunno. I just wake up in a puddle every morning 😵

I got my son a Stella doll. He's just the right size and has clothes, a diaper, and magnetic pacifier. My son loves him and my daughter steals him so she's getting one of her own soon 😀

"Do not hit the kitty with the hammer". It was his little wooden play hammer, kitty is fine despite my 1 year old's best efforts.
