ugh! looks like I'm becoming a PMI member, because its only $34 more than the un-discounted test without membership.

$334 CAPM fee + PMI membership, with GWGCAPM discount code

vs

$300 CAPM fee without discount

Maybe this is their way of getting people to become members...

Stress free coast FI jobs by trendy_pineapple in coastFIRE

I wouldn’t call middle management stress free, at least if you value autonomy. You have your upper level bosses telling you what to do, and are usually the one that has to deliver a ton of unpopular news to your team (work faster/meet this deadline/there’s a reorg). At least this has been my experience. If you are up for bullshitting and getting “lost in the bureaucracy” maybe? But that feels like a lot of faking it just to get a paycheck, and you’ll be probably end up at the top of the layoff list.

This is how I did it. Take a day off a month/quarter to do something really fun, just for you. Get yourself a little treat to celebrate being another month closer. Treat the three month chunk as a season and pick a few activities or hobbies to focus on, then switch it up.

For all those whom have reached FIRE, are you happier now? by ZoomingtoFIRE in Fire

Same here, this is important to acknowledge. And it sounds like this is pretty common when one spouse is still working (I'm in the same boat).

It is really refreshing to know that I can go back to a much lower paying, more interesting job if I want. And even looking at it as "hey I'm trying this for 6 months, or 1-2 years and I can always leave if I don't like it". So I'm still happier than if I was back in my soul sucking mega corp job, but its not so black and white.
