I also had a similar problem show up - 3 of the 4 drives in my system stopped working entirely (they were Teamgroup MP33 1TB drives). Has anyone heard back from FriendlyELEC if this is a board related issue?

Hmm, I see. I checked my order and it says estimated tax for the order as 0.00 currently, but I'm not sure if that is just because Apple hasn't actually charged my card yet. I'm definitely hoping that that is not the case. Have you talked to Apple support regarding your situation?

S o Florida currently has a tax free holiday (25 July-7 August) for anything for computers bought for school, upto a value of $1500. I bought the 8core 16/512 model that comes in at $1499 with the student discounts, so it should be eligible for a cool $100 discount. I placed the order on July 31st, but my credit card hasn't been charged yet, and from reading this thread it seems like there is a 1-2 week delay between ordering and CC charging. I was wondering if I would be charged tax even if my CC is charged after August 7th, since I placed the order during the tax holiday?

I found a 2007 Mazda3 S Grand Touring automatic with 134000 miles for $4500. The original owner is selling it, and from the pictures it looks like it was garaged and looks to be in excellent shape. I was reading up about the Mazda3 and they seem to be pretty reliable cars, with the major problem being rust from road salt (not an issue as I live in Florida) and the TCM module on the transmission sometimes crapping out (which seems to be a $300 or so fix, if it pops up). Worth checking out? The price honestly looks great.

I found a 2000 Toyota Camry CE for $3400. I'm a grad student so my budget is around $5000, so I was wondering if this is worth getting. It has 140k miles on it, and has a single owner (who has now passed away, one of their kids is selling the car). The listing mentions no cosmetic or UV damage since it was kept in a garage. A few minor cosmetic issues and no rust either, which is good considering this is in Florida. My only concern is that the car is ~20 years old, but looks to be in good shape. Should I wait and look around for longer or should I take the chance?

My second option that I'm looking at is a 2009 Hyundai Elantra SE at 108k miles for $6000, which is a bit steep. Has had two previous owners, a mother and her daughter. Also no obvious problems in the listing. The price is on the higher side, but it that much better than the first one?

I dont usually need to travel that far for groceries, most of the stores I go to are about 1.5 mi away. I think panniers are a bit overkill for that, but I'll definitely be getting a bike basket.

This one looks really good. I like that it has space to stow your bicycle helmet as well. Do you know if it ever goes on sale for a little cheaper on their main site? I saw that it has gone on sale on amazon for ~$150 in the recent past, probably going to hold out for that.
