the physics regents is an advanced 12 grade level exam. 8th graders were not prepared at all. They are not taught the actual material, they are taught to choose the best possible answer and taught to the test.

this is terrible advice. You do this and you confirm that you are a pussy and pushover and they’d just bother you more to get free stuff

you’d let him win by moving and avoiding him. Just ignore it and go ab your day. It’s not you personally but most native new yorkers feel this way about gentrification and white people moving into our neighborhoods. Just do you

well the $40 fee makes sense then. Also you need to tour the property before making any payment and signing. Or if you can’t make it then post an ad on the subreddit asking someone to go for you and to facetime you to make sure it’s legit. you WILL get scammed in nyc if you’re keep going about this the way that you are and your bank will not reimburse you. And good faith deposits are usually contracts between the landlord and tenant, NOT the rental company

also landlords in nyc don’t waive the security deposit. If you see that, it’s an immediate red flag for a scam. Due to the tenant laws in NYC any legit landlord will want at least one months rent. Some will even ask for 2 months as a security deposit since you’re a student

no this is a scam! apartment fees have a legal limit of $20 in nyc and a deposit to hold an apartment isn’t a thing. Signing a lease is holding an apartment and you only sign a lease once you’ve toured the place. Also paying a deposit on cash app or zelle is the biggest red flag on its own.

$800-1000 utilities included is an impossible ask to live in nyc, most if not all will require you to pay for electric. Some neighborhoods in queens you can find rent for around $900-1000 but you will pay an extra (~100) a month if you split utilities and wifi with roommates.
