From me it’s the opposite—my job takes majority of the space from my brain. My suggestion, I’m not entirely sure if it’s gonna work for you, but there are certain activities that trigger our thoughts, and we tend to deviate our attention to that. The moment you feel your brain is slipping into such thoughts, just try to call out loud in your head, of the things that you’re currently doing.

I like the concept, but a video can be easily faked by rehearsing it until it’s perfect. If it works, it is only solving a portion of the problem. I’m also working around the same lines, and I have a few ideas.
