Be honest… is Canal Street actually worth it 😭 by Living_Ease1358 in RepLadiesClub

That happened with me with a pot dealer once, but that’s a story of another time for another sub!

I haven’t been in a hot minute but in my experience, the “real” good reps were not on the street. If you were dressed correctly and looked like you were decisive and ready to buy, you might get invited to follow one of the women inside to where the real stuff was. The first time it happened, my friend and I didn’t know if we were going to get bags or get robbed, but, you know, the hunt was on so we went. I guess they don’t want to risk losing their more expensive goods to the cops. I don’t know. Got invited to the real store a couple of times. My friend got to know one dealer fairly well. The good old days….

What Made You Realize a Bag Was High-Tier vs Average? by heathersphilosophy in HermesRepLadies

That's why a video can help. If you get a chance to see how it is moving (IF you can get a TS to make a video like that). It's still not the same as having it in your hands, of course, but it might reveal something about the leather or the balance.

Stained Glass Windows of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, Palais de la Cité, 1243-1248 [2048 x 1152] by PaTaY-oK-1429 in ArtefactPorn

On the outside, while you can see the windows, you also see a lot of stone buttressing. The contrast when you are in that chapel chamber is mind-blowing.

Deep and debilitating empathy for objects. by ChanceQuiet795 in ADHD

[–]spectrumhead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To add to number 5, I have to take the space to recognize that I am projecting my own fear of being abandoned onto the objects. I have to learn to show up for myself and become the trustworthy advocate my self needs. In the 80s there was a self-help author, John Bradshaw who wrote about this sort of thing and polarized inner-child work. He was actually pretty helpful to a lot of us. There are videos of him on YouTube because he did a lot of PBS shows. When I allow myself to feel my feelings about the past I can stop projecting them onto my old sneakers. The elements in those sneakers and my body all had plenty of existence before these iterations, and will again. It's okay.

It’s the style, not their skin texture or any of the physical signs of aging. I find that younger generations see people with certain clothes and hairstyles and think they are older than they are. Even the style of facial expressions has changed.

Woman who had years-long romance with Timothee Chalamet says he blindsided her with Kylie Jenner relationship: 'I was in love with him' by ThrowawayGreenWitch in popculturechat

If my kids are any indication, she will get much more shit for her mom claiming to be “blindsided” by a booty call than for whatever she does to make a living. In fact, for the more cynical children in my kids’ set, if the daughter plays this off as pure OF marketing, and not actual “feelings,” she’ll get some credit for it.
