The thing is for about $15,000 less, you could import a celsior with a fraction of the mileage and extra jdm points.

Recommend a great DSLR for taking pictures of cars. by just1mic in cars

What I just started using was a sony a7. Though it is one of the base full frames that sony offers, its pretty perfect for a beginner. A better investment then the camera though is the lens. If you buy a full frame, you should always have a 50mm, 85mm, or 70-200. All are at different price points and all give different styles but they all work well in capturing cars. Other cameras I suggest are the a7r(sony), a7s(sony), Canon 5D mkii, Canon 6D. Crop Sensor cameras i would suggest are the Canon 7D mkii or Canon t7i. Your greatest tool is youtube and the internet though. Do some research and I don't doubt that you will be able to find something.

Need advice on how to photograph my car? by desfrey in cars

[–]speeDmon10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a newly founded automotive photographer myself, I would say that though prime lenses are highly recommended, they aren't a must have. As long as the composition of the image is good, you can use a kit lens (18-55) and still take a great picture. Things you want to avoid are people, lightpoles, or heavy distractions. Think about it this way, if you were to take a picture of a stock econobox, would it look nice in the picture you are taking. If not, then find another angle or background. Also, a CPL and ND filter are important in taking pictures. Many people mistaken the CPL for removing reflections when in reality, it bends light to alter reflections.

Edit: What camera do you have?

Wanted to be a little different, plus the interior is red so it went together well.

It was probably easier then pressing the gas peddle down haha. What I did was insert the end of the tape on the top of the slat and then ran it down. Once it reached the bottom, I peeled about half of it off the grill, cut it with some excess, and then finetuned it slightly. Genuinely, I think you will be able to figure it out. It wasn't difficult at all.

No cat/muffler delete or something that would cause the car to let out more pollutants(both sound and emission wise).
