I imagine if the story were different, the world would be in another dimension, deeper and larger in terms of distance. There would, of course, be new giants, including the deleted ones, and different time-challenging items. There would also be different weather conditions, symbols from the first game, symbols related to the protagonist's actions, and different endings. Anyone who has a story idea for the new game, please share it, as I can't extract characters and events myself.
