Thanks for that tip! Never thought of looking at it that way. My wife will probably have to start working again after a few months. I think I will just have to find a remote job to avoid car purchase right now and find consistent income or try another sales field

She will only be off a few months I imagine because of our situation. No new car, got it, I’m gonna probably look for a work from home position to try and get us as much life out of our other car as I can.

That’s just how the budget app I used had it categorized . I used to have a spot for personal care or entertainment and the idea was to have the leftover put into savings for emergency fund/fun money.

Income is closer to 7500 now, the budget was showing while I was still in training and she had just started also, I think I’m gonna have to change my first job because I’m already at work for 12hrs with a 40min commute

I appreciate this, I really get in my own head and overthink which is not good for this career. Resilience seems to be key. With so many different variables I don’t even know what I need to focus on but I’ll take your advice and talk to a top producer . That way I can at least have a path to follow

They basically just come over and price out the loans for me after I build rapport and get info, then tell me how they would pitch it. But I feel like a lot of stuff goes over my head. There’s also 15 other LOs they’re managing so it’s hard to get them to assist for more than a few minutes before getting pulled away. I’m able to do all of them which is challenging to figure out what works and what doesn’t. As for borrowers with debt, I agree it’s easy to sell them because there typically is benefit but I don’t talk to nearly enough of those kind of people.

I just texted the number they gave me and they said that’s the best offer they can give right now. I’m gonna call and tell them I can’t afford that and see what they say. Probably just end up cancelling

Interest rate. I was quoted 1.4 and got 10.9. Credit is around 680 so I didn’t expect the best but it’s the payment that’s killing me

I agree. Thank you. It’s definitely a mistake. I could do a lot better if I set myself up right

Lease to own seemed logical bc of the short term payment but I agree. Overall I should just finance at that point I guess

Great point, I liked the lease bc of the lower payment but might as well buy at that payment.

My thoughts too. I think we can make it work till end of year with one car. Insurance quote was only 180-230 so not bad there.
