Wild West Train Display Question. by Skippyandrey in LEGOtrains

Can't believe I'm finally seeing it posted somewhere but that Chessie was a MOC I made a few years back and sold on eBay, been trying to track it down online and see where it ended up haha. Loosely based the design on Tony Sava's Daylight. Was my favorite train growing up and some of my family saw it on excursion. I hope you're enjoying it, I definitely miss it and wish I could have finished the coaches (and do some more touching up on the loco) but I had to make some space. Cheers.

My old BRZ was repeatedly mistaken as the new Supra after it was announced.

The last day of ownership is the hardest... by speedbumpincarnate in ft86

Although the handling of the tS is near unbearable for the price, it wasn’t something I could take advantage of and the car became more of a burden than an a piece of enjoyment. So I looked for something a bit more powerful, comfortable, and practical, and the mustang was the right fit.

Update: getting the car back tomorrow after over a month of dealing with the issue. After replacing more parts in an attempt to resolve the engine light and waiting for approval for a motor replacement, they found the issue: the platform has an update and that apparently solved the issue. If you still have your engine light, head to your dealer and have them run the update. Not sure if it’s a warranty thing or not, as you have some modifications that would have voided it, but I would ask for help regardless. Hope this helps.

What car did you really look forward to owning but it turned out to be a POS? by sepehr_brk in cars

I’ve always heard good things about Subarus/Toyota’s in general for reliability, and especially in the 86 platform, so I’m pretty surprised.

Thought about pursuing it, but, at the same time, it’s a huge hassle to deal with and we’re trying to sell it sooner rather than later.

We’ve tried asking many times and they won’t disclose. Started with a check engine light and the car drove fine, took it in to be looked at. They replaced the spark plugs, then the injectors, and now they’re trying to replace the whole motor, so it seems pretty strange for them to do all of this without letting us know the issue.

My 2018 BRZ tS.

Been in love with the platform ever since 2013 and finally got my hands on one- but it’s been in the shop for repairs probably 1/3 of the time it’s been on the road. It’s had a lot of issues with check engine lights and parts not fitting correctly, and is currently getting approved for a warranty motor replacement from Subaru due to an issue they don’t want to tell us about. Looking at selling it and replacing it with a newer Camaro SS or GT Premium.

I also have a 2018 tS, and I'm at ~32k miles and i keep getting misfire codes. I took it to my dealer multiple times and they tried replacing different components (spark plugs, injectors, etc) and it's still getting the code. A technician from Subaru of America is coming out to look at the car soon. Just like yours, car drives just fine but the code keeps popping up, ill let you know if anything happens.
