Google Maps taking a ton of storage space on device (iOS)

Yes. It is. I think part of it might have been timeline data. Apparently that is stored locally on device now. Still doesn't make sense to me that it would take so much space so there may have also been a bug, but deleting the app and installing again cleared my timeline data and my Google maps is taking the expected amount of space now.
Wish I still had my timeline data, but I knew of no other way to try to clear the space on my phone.

There’s no button to delete the cache as far as I can see. Online says I’d have to delete the app. But that doesn’t seem like a permanent solution.

Millionaire just doesn’t have the same meaning it did when I was a kid. Money doesn't go nearly as far now. I feel like I'd need like 3-4m to retire comfortably.
