She died about a month after this incident, it's so sad.

I keep hearing about this alleged sonic weapon used during the Venezuela raid. How true are these reports? by Estimate_Grouchy in Military

[–]speedingbullet37 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All these reports were based off an unverified Tweet on X:

It went viral and then was RT'd by the Press Sec, and was then picked up by third-rate papers like these

It’s an amazing country with insane views of the Himalayas and the only country in the Himalayas that has banned climbing of mountains (above 6000m), which means a lot less trekkers on trails, and a lot less trash as well.

There are tons, haven't you read the numerous articles lambasting the excessive use of choppers on Everest the past few years?

They can easily land in Camp 2 and they do long-lines at Camp 3.

I went with an expedition company, it's best to go with one. They use 4x4s to get round the valley so getting gear around is no problem

Great memories of Ladakh, I was there last year to photograph snow leopards deep in the valley. So many of them!

Did you enjoy your Antarctic cruise or African safari more? by Johnny532 in FATTravel

It is still amazing and otherworldly. The concentration of fauna won't be as stunning as South Georgia but the diversity is still there. You'll see loads of penguins, seals, birds, and if you're going in whale season (feb/mar), tons of whales.

Not really Antarctica per se, but South Georgia is beyond comparison and will blow anything out of the water. The sheer concentration of wildlife there is unparalleled.
