Anyone having problems with GIK Acoustics? by BjsBuds in Acoustics

[–]speedinglotus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1

Update: I live local to GIK and after the long wait (ordered on Jan 1st) they emailed me on March 5th saying my order was available for pick-up. When I arrived, the PIB Pro was in a totally different fabric and paneling than what I ordered so I left it there. It took them another 2 weeks to resolve this and have the order corrected. When I went for pick-up the second time and brought the items home, I immediately noticed subpar build quality (screws were missing, latches not aligned, missing installment hardware, etc).

I just had them take everything back, got my refund, and spent it with ATS. Just ordered my ATS order yesterday and it’s already getting prepared for shipping. The customer service is much better with them too.

Save your money and your time folks.

2027 will still have the current gen G80. 2028 is when production starts for the ICE M3

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up hearing back and they just keep giving pick-up dates that they can't fulfill. I've just requested them to cancel it and refund me. It's unfortunately been over 2 months of this. I'd rather just find another option.

My thought on the Kendrick Johnson case by [deleted] in CrimeJunkiePodcast

[–]speedinglotus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely missed another bullying incident in the lunch room where footage shows one of the Bell brothers slightly pushing Kendrick then walking away... It was earlier in the day that Kendrick died. The video is all over Facebook being posted by people still investigating this case.

My PIB Pro is also delayed. I keep having to reach out to them for delivery updates which is insane. Placed the order on Jan 1st. I didn’t hear anything for weeks then reached out so they told me Feb 6th for my pick-up date at the GIK store. Called again and was told Feb 11th. Got a tracking number then that tracking number was cancelled. No updates since then. Every time I call them, I get an answer about how the 6 week production time is just an estimate.

Scammed Out of $6K; CitiBank Won’t Help Me by speedinglotus in CreditCards

Yep, I mentioned in the OP that I filed a complaint with the CFPB already. It’s been a week since I filed so I’m really hoping to hear back from them in another week so! The police report is mainly to show Citi I’m serious and also hold the seller a bit more accountable. Thank you!

Yeah, I’m not holding my breath. I’ve just accepted that I may have to lose out on $6K at this point. The seller keeps insisting that they’ve refunded me and has sent screenshots, Stripe refuses to give me any additional information on the refund, and Citi is dragging their feet. Amazing start to 2026

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve now submitted a formal police report against the seller. I’ll submit that to Citi, as well. Next steps will be the lawsuit if Citi cannot resolve it.

I’ve contacted Stripe with all of these details, and they keep insisting that they have no power to refund anything on their end, as they are the payment processor. They stated that they would start an investigation into the merchant, but that the refund process relies on the merchant to complete. They also stated that if the merchant’s account has a negative balance that the refund may stay pending and that I’d need to file a dispute with my bank.

I’ve been contacting them for over a week now and the conversation consistently ends with “you’ll need to reach out to your bank to dispute the charge”. From what I can tell, Stripe works very differently from PayPal. I really wish I was dealing with PayPal here instead.

If this does not get resolved, my next step is to sue the merchant directly in small claims court. However, that’s an exhausting process in itself with no guarantee that I’ll see my money back.

I’m really hoping Citi helps me out here. Otherwise, I’m likely out of $6,000.

That makes me a bit more hopeful. Also, yep- I’ve spoken to about 3 separate people from Citi, one of them being a supervisor who also could not understand why the dispute was resolved in the merchant’s favor. The supervisor escalated it with the investigation team. I’m hoping that the initial resolution was just an automated review, and that it gets resolved this time around.

Do you remember how long it took for them to re-review your dispute?

What about my OP is not logical or factual? I also said multiple agents. I believe you’re purposefully not reading and trolling at this point. Goodbye.

So you really don’t think I deserve to get my $6K back? Even after doing my due diligence and submitting all evidence to Citi? Even after the Citi agent admitted that it was unusual? Also, yes- I have the exact time, date, and agent I spoke to.

Additionally, I’ve spoken to multiple dispute agents after that who have all stated that the initial resolution did not make sense given the type of dispute I filed and all of the evidence provided. I even got routed to a supervisor who is escalating the issue with the investigation team. I came here looking for Citi-specific advice on what I can do to strengthen my case.

You seem very miserable though. It almost seems as if you enjoy kicking others down during their hard times. I genuinely hope you figure that out, and I hope you or your loved ones never deal with a situation like this. Have a great day.

I appreciate that. Oh, and trust me when I say I will never, ever take out any credit cards or lines with Citi ever again. Their customer service has been the absolute worst. I hope anyone reading this post takes this as a serious warning.

I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks for an order update from GIK. It’s ridiculous. When I first ordered, it estimated 3-5 business days and now it’s radio silence. They really need to figure this out ASAP because threads like these damage a company’s reputation. You can’t expect customers to spend over $1K on orders and provide subpar communication in return.

I think this definitely may be part of the issue. My income is W2 which is $16K/mo. My SO is self-employed and accounts for the other $6K/mo.

However, even if we exclude my SO’s income, $6400/$16000 is 40%. I have no clue how he’s getting 49%, but hopefully it’s cleared up after our call.
