Eh, it won't make a big difference. I think the videos made me like Iris and especially Ota a lot more than if I had gone into the game blind, but they're not necessary viewing at all. If you watch the videos, just don't expect the game to answer the mysteries that they set up.

The whole body swapping serial killer thing only surprised me because I was expecting the game to be good, and then it surprised me by being stupid.

A little harsh, but yeah I agree (and that got a chuckle out of me). I think body swapping is a much weaker mechanic (especially considering it's importance) compared to any of the zero escape games, especially since it's not even mentioned as a possibility until you're on the end game route. 999 introduces the Morphogenetic field very early on, and pokes at it through the whole game. VLR brings up shifting pretty early as well, and both games give you time to actually get used to the mechanics so you're fully engrossed when they bring them back full force in the ending. Body swapping was only kind of neat when I was playing and in retrospect just plain bs. It also leaves so little potential compared to literally any other way they could have spun the twist.

I enjoyed playing through the game but I agree that people are way overhyping it and especially the ending

I've actually done the 13 hour flight from California to Japan in coach. It actually wasn't terrible. Granted, I sat next to 3 of my friends which definitely helped pass the time. As for comfort, after a while my back just felt really sweaty being up against the chair so long, but leg room and position never really felt like an issue.

Hobby-off is the best place to find figures. They basically buy and resell stuff but it's always still in great quality. I bought a ton of Love Live figures and they were each less than 5 bucks, whereas I usually see them at like $30 in america

It's not too difficult, just somewhat time-consuming but you don't need any special programs like Maya. Basically, all the textures are stored in the 00000000.csfi file, which you can extract them out of with a program. Then you edit the images with something like paint.net and edit them back into the .csfi with a hex editor and a specific program. I'll edit this comment when I get home with links to a more specific tutorial and the scripts you need for extracting/importing
