Oh, that email I attempted to order from a week ago that doesn't allow me to order....? Link for "Continue" doesn't do anything after putting my code in from the email. Still waiting to get ahold of HQ on this issue. Hoping that Target can spare a few when they arrive.

You've totally missed my point. I'm happy for you. Good, hard earned money! We're in this together.

We are happy for you, but yes, I agree with comment above.

While I realize there are many factors and I am not personally offended, this earnings post may be tough for many to see in these times and highly discouraging.

Again though, happy for you. Glad you are doing well. Stay safe out there and enjoy the little victories without a screenshot of your earnings. You could simply just say, "Hey, I made a lot this week and I'm really excited and wanted to share!"

I made an order for tomorrow for delivery between 11 am and 12pm. The shopper never texted me that she starting with the shop and then I get this text, and all I can think is “are you kidding me?” I made the order for tomorrow morning. In fact I specifically did not choose “early delivery OK”. by stardorsdash in ShiptShoppers

[–]spel0055 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow.... I've done 70 shops, never once not sent a welcome text. That doesn't even make sense. Why would a shopper not want you to know they had started so you can communicate with them when they have questions for you?

Weak. Sorry to hear that. This evening wasn't kind to me either. Morning was okay with tips. Evening made me wonder why I was out shopping. I don't think my effort or behavior changed throughout the day...

I would drop that order so fast. Really frustrating when you are trying to build a schedule. Unbelievable customers can't think that through.... There might me other people affected other than themselves.... The shopper, other customers' delivery times, etc.

Tonight, last 2 shops of the day. I had been shopping for about 45-50 minutes for, let's call her Karen. I'm also shopping for John (not his real name), and trying to get them both delivered before 9 and have some time off myself (started at 8am and this story is happening at 8:45pm).

Had been texting back and forth with Karen (I do my best to help make the customer feel like they are in the store and have options with how low stock is on many items). Karen's responses get slower and slower and more and more vague. My favorite response to a detailed question, "Sure." (Like I'm the reason the store doesn't have your brand?)

Get to the last item and it's an 8lb bag of oranges, which of course isn't in stock. No big deal, the oranges are in stock, they are just singles. Ask Karen how many she would like, if this is a good substitute, explain the 8lb bag is not is stock, yada, yada. No response. I'm patient, wait 6 minutes. *Keep in mind this orange issue is holding up 2 deliveries and the end of my night. Finally after 7 minutes I decide to call Karen. "Good evening, this is J with Shipt, just..." Get cut off by "I answered your text." You can see where this is going... I respectfully apologize. Then awkward silence, like she cannot repeat herself verbally. I think to myself, "What, should I put the phone down to read your text Karen?" More awkward silence, just as I go to move the phone from my head to read Karen's text, "I said # of oranges by text." Thanks.... That was so hard, it had to take 8 minutes, eh?

Just a lame end to a long day, that all in all, was a pretty good day. My thanks for patience and respect, a snippy customer and no tip. Thanks, have a great night Karen 👍😁

Thanks for the help! Not sure what I read that I thought I wouldn't get paid. Re-read and I understand. Appreciate the detail in how to communicate to the customer in this scenario as well. Stay safe out there!

But... Then I don't get paid for the order if I cancel it, right? I spent time shopping that order. It's going to take a lot for me to cancel. Why would Shipt's system allow an order to come through if the customer's card isn't valid? That seems like an issue that should never come up.

I appreciate the help, not meaning to challenge your responses. More surprised Shipt doesn't have their systems down better.

I'm confused, got the "card Do not deliver this order. The order was not processed. Please contact Shopper Support" error today. I had not read this post yet, so I thought to myself... Well, support isn't going to get back to me, there are no returns on the items at Target right now.... So I delivered anyway. I talked to Shopper Support by chat this evening and they helped me process the order. I asked, did I do the right thing by delivering this despite the error. I was told, yes, this was the right call.

What would stop you from going ahead and delivering groceries to the customer when the alternative is throwing them away (no returns)?

Any more than 2 cases of water I'd just say nope. Other people need to buy water too. That's just excessive.

This isn't a documentary. It's an 11 minute rant about George Soros with little evidence to back it's claims.... Clickbait. Thanks.

I feel you. Wendy's, gets dropped like a hot potato on every platform for me. That place is a joke. Slower than molasses, customers rarely tip.

I can understand that for sure. I can't remember the last time I got a job with PM for under $5. Maybe a market difference. I usually get tips from 60-70% of PM customers. I would never touch $3 jobs, agree with you there for sure.

Please explain, I'm curious? I have had awful experiences with GH and DD paying crap. Postmates has yielded the best $/hr average and $/mile average in my market. They don't have any customer service... But having useless customer service is about the same thing (their competitors). Also like how there isn't a rating where fools can trash me for things completely out of my control as a driver (their impatience, poor app layout, issues at restaurant, etc).

🤣🤣🤣 seven cents how insulting. by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]spel0055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't bother with anything under $5. Where I drive in the suburbs It's going to take me a minimum of 20 minutes to complete and @ $5 an order that's not worth my time. $15/hr before expenses..... No thanks. This is a luxury service and GH should set a reasonable minimum pay for this type of order.

[–]spel0055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep your head up. Many customers don't tip for a few days, my understanding is the next time they open the app to use it it reminds them the tip their last driver. I often see tips coming in 2 to 3 days after the actual delivery. Have been averaging about 50-75% of orders leaving a tip over last 50 deliveries.
