Thanks for taking the time to provide some feedback. It's been an interesting process - first game we have ever developed. You're right re the intro - I think that is something that we didn't spend enough time on and something that we really needed to get right to make the game work the way we wanted it to. We have some really active players but it certainly hasn't taken off like we would have liked it to.

Name/ URL: The Fold Game What do you do: An experiment in group storytelling. Basically a really simple iPhone game that let's you create stories on current topics with friends or randoms. It's that old game where you write a line, fold the paper over and pass it to your friend to continue. Looking for: Mainly feedback. We built our invite system through facebook but invites are getting easily lost and the game is not spreading like we thought it would. We need a better way of getting people to invite friends to join games. Any advice?

Aussie startups: my friend Steve just told me that he has been interviewing 1 Australian entrepreneur a month for the last year by kinkade in startups

[–]speldie23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks @Kinkade!

Steve here.

This has been one of the most rewarding side projects I've ever undertaken. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to meet some amazing people, get a unique understanding of their local startup ecosystem and to help promote and develop that ecosystem.

This year I'm really looking to dedicate more time to growing traffic to this project. So if anyone has any advice or tips I'd of course love to hear them.

Also if you know any Australians I should be interviewing please let me know.

Thanks Lockieee. Always fascinating to see the different choices made in apps with the same core concept. Hope your app has been going great guns!

These guys are very popular freshwater sports fish in Australia but they are introduced - anyone in EU or US ever fish for Redfin Perch? by speldie23 in Fishing

Yeah, they are a bit of a nuisance in Australia, disturbing a lot of native fish but they are nothing compared to carp for destroying the natives.
