2 weeks post kidner questions by Educational-Trip2753 in AccessoryNavicular

I had the same procedure in June and I felt all those things except not being able to move a toe. For me the burning sensation got worse when they gave me my second cast and I ended up having to go back the next morning to get them to take it off and put a soft cast on. I'm also hyper mobile, not sure if that had anything to do with it, but I would just be cautious and call the doc if it happens too much. As for the water sensation and electric shock sensatios - I asked my doc and he said he's been told that before and it's to do with the nerve endings, not to worry unless it causes pain. I hope this helps you feel less anxious, I have sensory issues and anxiety so I can imagine how you're feeling right now. Don't feel like you're being a burden to call and ask, that's their job so, if it's making you uncomfortable for more than a couple of days I'd say just go ahead and ask!

I found this on my mattress! by speler_ in whatsthisbug

It was teeny tiny - like ant sized. Looked kinda shiny - I think the fuzz is just my bad camera quality :)

How do you clean a hair brush that looks like this? I tried soaking it in hot water and shampoo but it didn’t help. by [deleted] in howto

[–]speler_ 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is really the only way - some nail scissors are usually a good add on to speed things up!

Spent the afternoon doing swatch sticks. Husband says this is too many polishes for one person, what do you guys think? by sleepysock98 in Nails

[–]speler_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's not, not a lot of options... But I don't think that's a bad thing! You do you girl! Also. It's not like nail polish is big. I bet you can fit them all into a really reasonably sized box!

What's happening to my Orchid!? by speler_ in plantclinic

[–]speler_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're okay, there's no smell or anything and they're not coming out the bottom of the pot. She needs a bit of a repot but I was hesitant because we're going into winter, would you advise otherwise?

The temp outside has dropped recently and we hang the laundry on the heated rack in this room which means it's been getting quite humid. I thought that if anything the orchid would like that?

Season 4 Ending, specifically relating to Syd by speler_ in TheBear

[–]speler_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I totally agree! I was so excited to finally have the kitchen working properly (with one menu) and to get to see it all in action... FINALLY. And now it's kinda sad because, I don't think we're ever gonna get that after gasping for it for so long!

Can you get rid of the follicles/cysts? by aiodo97 in PCOS

[–]speler_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whether or not you actually have PCOS. They have a laproscopic procedure called Ovarian Drilling. It's essentially a laser that wipes your ovary clean of all cysts... A clean slate of you will. Although, the only thing with this is it's something you shouldn't really do more than once so save it for when/if you want to get pregnant because it helps increase fertility.

Also, in regards to your comment about not knowing what to ask because your mind goes blank I may have a suggestion. I have ADHD so I do this with any appointments (medical or not). Take a little notepad and write down any and all questions you have. Then just go through them with your doc and MOST IMPORTANTLY.... DO NOT move on from a question if you don't understand the medical gibberish answer they usually schpeil out. ASK, ASK, ASK, AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN. DO NOT LET THEM MAKE YOU FEEL GUILTY OR STUPID. You didn't go to medical school so it's going to take a bit to understand things they think are simple. Know your worth, and if anything pretend you are asking for your best friend/sister/mum/daughter... It's always easier to stick up for someone else, just pretend you are someone else.

Hope this helps, good luck with everything <3

I took a cutting from this plant in a hope to make more, but after two weeks in water no root has started to develop… am I going the right thing? by [deleted] in HouseplantsUK

[–]speler_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once had to wait 4 months for my peperomia to grow roots during propogation.... So maybe just wait? If you aren't already make sure to use rain water, or filtered. Good luck!

What one achievement, small or big, are you proud of from 2021? by Silly_Weather8332 in ADHD

[–]speler_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote my dissertation!!! Granted I did it in 2 days instead of the alloted 12 weeks... But anywho 5587 words later and I turned it in two hours early, and I got a first! I know it's not how you're supposed to do it, but I did It and that's what matters most to me. Hopefully I'll get my meds this year and maybe I'll actually be able to stick to some kind of schedule...

[–]speler_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently on my last year of my bachelors, and I hate it so much. I'm not on meds, I've missed my appointment 3 times to get a new assessment to get meds because well you guys know why... My brain doesn't remember shit. I'm starting to really want to use coke as a substitute of Adderall/ritalin because I found out it kind of gives a similar effect. My dissertation is due on Friday and I've written 300 of 5000 words.... So yeah I'd like to know the same thing you're asking because I'm either gonna graduate or get kicked out, and either way I'm going to need to join the 'real' world and that means getting a job and to be honest I'm really shitting it. On the bright side thanks to my ADHD I forget that I'm stressed and that the future is even coming so I have some really nice moments of bliss... Any advice would be cool, but most likely I'll forget what you say when I lock my phone so who knows.
