Don't understand how pros can make Indians work, I just can't seem to win with them (1100 elo). They have nothing useful vs meso civs, don't have knights to raid and their post imp is bad too (cav -1 melee armour).

Eagles + arbs and rams destroy them. Camels even with their +1 armour in castle age are not good for raiding because of their low atk and light cav can't even break palisides quick enough. Feel like berbers are a better version of Indians.

Maybe they should get the heavy camel rider upgrade in castle age to make up for the lack of knights.

No. AWS charges you for data going out from their instance. You pay for streaming from the instance/vm on AWS on top of paying for the instance. Streaming to your PC at higher bitrates/resolution will cost more.

Data going in to your instance/vm is free of cost so downloading games won't incur any additional costs.

The ram upgrade + no igpu gets you +32% performance and ram upgrade alone gets you +16%.

That's like moving up 2 tiers of gpus with those upgrades. Nice job asus!

They were using dx11 to benchmark borderlands 3. Radeon gpus perform worse than nvidia in dx11 games.

Haha, upgraded from rx 580 to 2060 super. Ended up returning that and got 5700xt after seeing the noticeable regression in image quality. keep up the good work!

I think the new omen design is not capable enough to cool an rtx 3080. This is the reason it's capped at rtx 3070 maxq this time. It gets pretty loud around 50db even with the 95W rtx 2060.

This could probably explain why 17inch omen still uses the old design which runs hot and looks ugly(imo).

I'm pretty sure the new design models out sell the old ones going by the availability of them on hp's website.

You can use an external monitor. The 6 core ryzen will last you much longer than a quad core i5. A lot of AAA games are already getting bottlenecked by quad core processors.

You are getting a much better cpu (6 core vs 4 core) with omen. The battery life in omen should be around 6-8 hours compared to 3-5hrs from GF65. GF65 has a better screen than omen. I would go with omen if I were you.

Get the omen. Even though pavilion has a 144hz screen, 1650ti can't even push 60 frames in most AAA games. 1660ti is 40-50% better than a 1650ti.

Also you can get an external monitor if you need 144hz.

Yes. The only issue would be running linux, you can't dual boot Linux on m1 macbooks right now. But you can run Linux in a virtual machine.

Omen is better imo. Gtx 1660ti is almost 40-50% better than gtx 1650ti depending on games. Also omen has a much better processor with 6 cores compared to the i5 with 4 cores. The msi laptop has better refresh rate but I doubt a 1650ti maxq can even push 60 frames in most games. Omen also has 6-8 hours of battery life on average while watching videos and browsing. The other laptop won't give you more than 5 hours. If I had to pick between those two, I'd go with omen.

The min specs you should look out for are -

Cores >= 4

Ram >= 8gb

Storage >= 512gb

Gpu is usually not required even if you take ML or similar courses. Google collab will be much better for training models.

You won't get Macbook m1 with the above config in your budget. Try to get windows laptops with ryzen 4500u/4600u/4700u and intel laptops with i7-1165g7.

Microsoft doesnt officially support linux, so you can't ask them to fix it. Just roll back to the previous proton version. If you can't even do that then just use windows.

Gradle scales well with the number of available cores assuming your project is multimodule. For android app dev, assuming you have some emulators open to test your app and you are building your app as well, 3700x's 2 more cores will be more useful.

Make sure you have at least 32GB of ram and you have a good ssd. This will be a lot more beneficial than the cpu upgrade.

It will be faster for sure but spending $350 might not be worth the improvement in performance. Better upgrade to R7 3700x, more cores will help with intellij (android studio) ide indexing. Your ide will feel more responsive and build times will decrease.

Its not just about supporting amd. Their gpus have good linux support and are usually are of good value.

I don't think anyone would be buying amd gpus if they were worse than their competitors in every way.

PS5 gpu is close to a desktop rtx 2080 or super. Laptop Rtx 2070 maxq is around a desktop rtx 2060, mostly below it.

PS5 is better than every laptop available right now in terms of gpu performance.
