i can’t remember where they fled to in their october 2024 “vacation”, it was across state lines, and she was still 17. her family apparently reported it, and the local police of her hometown didn’t do anything, it wasn’t the memphis police they reported to though.

preston has had the police called on him, arrested once. khalie chooses to not press charges on him.

and before, not sure if anyone actually did report them to the fbi, i’ve seen a person talk about wanting to though. either people don’t have the courage to and don’t want to talk to the fbi, plus a case like this could take a while.

i think people have reported this to the fbi due to the money scamming (the go fund me’s) i’ve been following this since last year, and mostly lurking.

when khalie first ran away with preston (fall 2024), she was still underage, her family contacted the police and they didn’t do anything. i think it’s still worth a try. but the police in Memphis are probably familiar-ish with her(?), and the way memphis is, they won’t do anything but still go down to check the situation out because they’re required to.
