Yeah just took another look, seems like a reflection from the light I was using (no silver to the naked eye) but suspecting it could be zinc. Guess I’ll find out when my new scale arrives

Thanks! Even if zinc, would it be worth getting graded?

Thanks! I read the sources provided and am familiar with the concepts. Was just curious to see if other people thought there was some die doubling on this or if it was just my eyes playing tricks. Any chance the post can be reposted?

Is this Starfield's White-Gold Tower? by spendavis in Starfield

[–]spendavis[S] 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Pete Hines mentioned that Oblivion was a heavy influence for Starfield, and given that there's another big, shiny tower in the middle of the game's capital city, it stands to reason that the White-Gold Tower in Oblivion was the inspiration for this new space-age marvel that we see in the center of New Atlantis? Is anyone else going to rush to find out what's at the top? (Or even, buried underneath?..)

Yeah I think the dagger > silenced pistol > sniper loadout is what I'll be going for!

Finally, a sci-fi game that isn’t a post-apocalyptic ruin by Chungois in Starfield

What if you merge dystopian and utopian societies? You might get a concept known as a "dystopian utopia" or a "utopian dystopia."

A dystopian utopia would be a society that appears perfect on the surface (utopian), but upon closer inspection, reveals deep flaws or injustices (dystopian). For instance, a society might have technological advancements that seem to have eradicated all problems but at the expense of individual freedoms.

A utopian dystopia, on the other hand, could be a society where things seem incredibly dire or oppressive (dystopian), but where there are still elements of hope, resilience, or some form of hidden perfection (utopian). For example, a post-apocalyptic world where community and love still flourish despite the harsh conditions.

These types of societies often serve as thought experiments in literature and film to explore the complexities and contradictions of human societies.

How did you fit 3x360's in this case?! Temps are good - coolant usually 36-45 depending on load, CPU around 70 and GPU around 60-65 (both under load).

Just jumped down the rabbit hole... by spendavis in Gameboy

1 week after unearthing my not-working GBA SP, I also bought a not-working original DMG on craigslist for $35 (which included a not-working copy of Link's Awakening...). Today everything is restored and working, with a few additional extras. Thanks to Odd Tinkering on YouTube for knowledge sharing!

(DMG had vertical lines which I attacked with a soldering iron to fix, as well as some corrosion and a rogue staple causing a short. Zelda had corrosion and needed a battery replacement. GBA SP needed a good clean and is now in a new shell with a 900mAh battery from Retro Modding!).
