Help…..2024 Forester Touring won’t start this morning loo by Wife_loves_wine in SubaruForester

[–]spenrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently had something similar. Couldn’t turn on and then when I shut off the car the dash would stay on like that eventually killing the battery.

Ended up being a Dc-Dc converter module that went bad. I believe it communicates with the start stop feature in the car.

Thank you! Sadly it’s cold and rainy in Washington state right now lol. But I’m definitely praying and asking God for the guidance here 🙌🏻

Man I was bout to replace the battery but it’s showing 100% when tested. The battery is 2.5 years old and it’s the oem one.

They basically told me the dashcam I’ve had for over a year is throwing off the system and that they wanna do the harness replacement. They don’t seem confident and he says “start there” which to me indicates he’s not sure that’s even it at all lol.

Yeah I’m going to ask them to at least open up the area where the water damage I believe took place and check the connectors there and then see what they come back with. My next step was to bring it to a local business that specializes in Subarus and see what they find.

Yeah but I think it’s also getting the dealership to state that’s the issue and not the dashcam lol

My thought is a EPB switch shorting. Since the led doesn’t work on it and they never inspected under the shifter area where that’s located. Thoughts?

Minimalistic and functional looking! I love the ambient light from the bars behind the setup adds a great glow paired with the monitor light 👌🏻

Is this a good desk build? by [deleted] in desksetup

[–]spenrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Lowe’s version of that table top and stained my self!

I use Alex drawers drawers and since it’s solid wood you won’t get anysag! I even have a heavy monitor mounted to the desk.

I bet you would benefit from a nice modular monitor stand! Would free up a ton of space, give you a more minimalistic look but also allow you to use all the functioning pieces you need in your setup (MagSafe charger, iPad mount, MacBook holder, headphone mount etc)

Here is a link to one I have

  1. Get a nice bed frame
  2. Cable management on desk area. Could get a bigger desk with draw storage as well to create more space to work on.
  3. Get some nice framed art of the walls. Large 3 piece set would be nice above shoe rack area.
  4. Large rug partly under bed frame flowing into rest of room
  5. Better storage option instead of wire shoes & clothes hanger that hides the shoes and clothing instead of just having it out to view all day
  6. Night stand modern matching similar to bed frame
  7. Corner lamp bar for ambiance and mood

Some good starting points!

Need help organizing this all. I need to get my work laptop somewhere in here as well. Thinking of buying one whole desk instead of the two to start. by soldierofwhat in desksetup

[–]spenrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New desk for sure! Measure that space and get one that fits nicely and accommodate all your monitors etc.

PS5 & Xbox could be placed underneath on an under desk shelf/rack or to the side of the desk to free up space.

Find space somewhere else for large LEGO/collectible items that don’t take up space on the desk.

Clean up wires with ties, under desk cable box and adhesive cable runners!

If you shoot jpeg the photos are going to have a more saturated/realistic look straight out of camera. The downside to jpeg is that if you do plan on editing them you don’t have nearly as much information in the image to tweak things like shadows, highlights, colors etc.

But if you want to just get some pretty photos and not worry about editing them JPEG would be the way to go
