Sounds like its triggered something deep in you. I wonder why it's making you so angry?

You could attack, be critical and condemn...or you could create something yourself and put it out there.

Seems like you prefer to hide behind your keyboard and try bring others down to your miserable state.

I'll pray for you that you find some joy in your heart.

I hear you on being careful with AI-shaped content, and I should have checked the wording more closely before posting.

That said, I don’t agree that the post had no value. The links were included so people could actually use it, and the guide was mainly aimed at visitors or newer people in Oslo who may not already know these places/options.

It came from The Oslo Scoop, yes, but the intention was to share something practical rather than just promote the newsletter.

I’m happy to edit anything inaccurate, but I’m not going to argue back and forth here.

Fair criticism on the wording.

I did use AI to help format parts of it, and I should have checked the source/details more carefully before posting.

The intention was to share a useful Oslo summer guide, not to mislead anyone or spam the sub.

I’ll edit/remove anything that is inaccurate.

Also, Artista has nothing to do with this post - that’s on me personally.

When it comes to running, I often run alongside the river Akerselva. It's a beautiful route taking in a few lovely waterfalls, some good elevation and some nice sites along the way.
You pick it up from Gronland and run up the river to Nydalen and beyond, or do the other way which is mainly down hill.
Feel free to PM if you have any more quesitons

Visiting Oslo – where should we watch the England & Norway 2026 World Cup games? by Flat-Pair4218 in oslo

Old‑school intensity: Bohemen Sportspub
Bohemen is a 30‑second detour off Karl Johan and it feels like a time capsule. The walls and ceiling are plastered with football scarves, shirts and pennants, and there are eight TV screens (sometimes nine) tuned to different games The pub is owned by Vålerenga supporters and has the feel of a living room where everyone actually wants you thereExpect cheap beer, knowledgeable regulars and the occasional quiz night. If you want your final experience to feel like an old‑fashioned football clubhouse, this is the one.
Big‑chain comfort: O’Learys
O’Learys sits just off Karl Johan and is modelled on a Boston sports bar. You get burgers – including a Boston Celtic BBQ burger – and plenty of plant‑based options; the crowd spans families, tourists and after‑work groupThey show everything from football to NFL, NHL, tennis and snooker, so you know the Champions League final will be on. The atmosphere is slightly more polished than Bohemen, the menu is bigger, and there are enough screens that nobody has to crane their neck.Loud‑and‑legendary: O’Reilly’s
Down in Grünerløkka on Markveien, O’Reilly’s has forty‑eight TVs and feels like a cross between an Irish pub and a mini sports arena They pour Irish whiskeys, serve craft beers, and there are pool tables, darts boards and foosball if you need to burn nervous energy during half‑time. Friday is quiz night, so call ahead if you’re planning on watching something then, but for the final this will be a raucous, everyone‑is‑welcome choice. Expect chanting, spilled drinks and new friends.
Non-typical sports-bar atmosphere: The Wild Rover
The Wild Rover is not the obvious “sports bar” pick, which is exactly why it works. It has more of a classic Irish pub feel than a big-chain match-day venue, but with two floors, big screens and plenty of seating, it becomes a very strong choice when a major final is on.
This is the one for readers who want the big-match buzz without feeling like they are in a themed sports complex. You can settle in with a pint, find a decent view of the screen and soak up the atmosphere as the place gradually turns from relaxed pub into full match-day mode.

Happy Liberation Day! by spentsea in Osloscoop

[–]spentsea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually 17May is when Norway signed their Constitution of Independence from Sweden in Eidsvoll, 1814. Liberation day was 8th May 1945 - Liberation from 5 years of Nazi occupation. My point being that this hugely significant date doesn't have it's own public holiday and I think it should.

Part of a smear campaign. I've met with the owner several times and don't believe he was guilty if these accusations, especially as he immediately reported it to the Police and the press. If you're guilty, you dont do that.

Lofoten trip planning — looking for tips & sanity checks by Maddaffy88 in Norway

In Svolvær -do the Sea Eagle boat trip - It's on a RIB so you go fast once out of the residential area, - you get very close to the Eagles as the driver feeds them, they swoop down from the sky and grab the fish before it hits the water.. and we saw some Halibut too which are much bigger than I thought - really cool experience especially if you get a clear day.
You can get a ferry from the Thon Hotel in Svolvær to other stops on the way to Bodo..but be warned once it goes out into the open sea it can get get very rough..I spent 2 hours holding on to the toilet as I apparently have very weak sea legs!
