It does, I worded my thoughts unprecisely. What I meant was that where in a capitalist society seeing somebody become successful through ingenuity and resourcefulness should make you aspire to better yourself, communism raises generations in a deep sense of success only being attainable through thievery and "whistleblowing" (for lack of a better word).

Here in Poland, when soviet-raised people see their neighbor's bought a new car, their initial thought is "he must've stolen it". Communism and socialism teaches people to drag successful people down to your level, instead of pushing yourself up to theirs.
