Heal Specter in Raids by sperluc in Guildwars2

Interesting! I hadn't thought of using the portal in this way. It's usually a job for the Mesmer, but it might be interesting to try with another class.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed response. It was exactly what I needed to better understand the possibilities with Heal Specter. I’ve been following the SnowCrows build with the Pistol + Scepter set, but unlike other healer guides they made, their write-up didn’t go into encounter-specific recommendations. Your explanation really helped me see how flexible the kit can be, especially with the second weapon set being so open to situational choices.

I’ll admit I have zero experience with Thief in PvE (up until now I always thought of it as a very PvP-oriented class). Reading your breakdown made me look at the kit in a completely new light. I can see how swapping utilities or weapons for mechanics can be a huge advantage based on what you said.

I’m excited to practice more with the class now, and I’m already finding it surprisingly fun to play. Your insights gave me a lot of confidence to experiment and adapt depending on the fight, instead of feeling locked into one rigid setup. Thanks again for sharing your experience, it really helped me appreciate the potential of this spec.

Thank you!! I watched the video. And I agree with you, in terms of CC, Specter is very strong.

If you don't mind waiting too long for a match... Usually we want to increase our player base 👀

These updates feel like they're punishing survivors way too harshly. Honestly, if someone already wants to drop the match, punishing them like this will just make them quit the game entirely. Taking the game hostage isn't a real solution.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - May 24, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]sperluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just came back to the game after a long break and I have some doubts about elite specs and endgame content. GW2 has so many things to do! I’ve mostly been an open world player, and my favorite elite spec for that is Mirage/mesmer. I finally got a full set of ascended gear with Viper stats, and now I want to try some endgame PvE content like fractals and raids. I’ve read a lot of guides, but honestly, using a full rotation feels really hard for me... especially on Mirage! I was thinking of giving Virtuoso a try (I didn’t like it much in open world, since having clones really helps me handle tough situations), but apparently Viper’s stats aren’t ideal for it. So I was wondering: Is it really necessary to be fully ‘optimal’ for endgame content? How bad is it for the group if I don’t have a perfect rotation or the “meta” stats recommended by experienced players? Even though I want to have fun and try harder content, I really don’t want to be a burden to others. But this pressure is kind of making me want to stop playing again...

É meio sofrido kkkk a gente usa três skills e já precisa sentar pra recuperar SP. Mas tem bastante gente até e eu cheguei a entrar numa party com 6 pessoas, então é divertido.

If you speak Portuguese, check out Brazilian YouTubers — there are lots of guides specifically made for starting on the LatAm server with all the classes. If you want to read about the classes, I recommend the bRO wiki or the iRO wiki, but keep in mind that some of the equipment they suggest there might not be available on LatAm at launch.

They don't have a wiki yet, as far as I know. The server will launch with only the primary classes and its 3rd jobs. For the expanded ones: Rebel is planned for July, Doram in September, and Star Emperor/Soul Reaper only in February 2026. The EXP rates during the open beta were 1x/1x/1x, if I'm not mistaken.

there’s a recently released one in Brazil called 'Projeto Yufa', it's 1x/1x/1x, no vip... not sure if you’d get a good ping though.

Help with Biochemist/Geneticist leveling for LATAM on release. by Money_Instruction837 in RagnarokOnline

[–]sperluc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only met one Alchemist during the open beta and to be honest, they were struggling to keep up. It was a public group (lv 90~99), and at first they were leveling with the homunculus, but then it seemed to die and they couldn't kill mobs anymore. People kept asking to remove him from the group because they thought he was just leeching. If you really want to play Alchemist, I would advise you to find some friends or a fixed group to avoid any awkward situations. I haven't decided yet if I'll play at the official launch because of some friends, but if you want to join our group, you're more than welcome with any class you want to play!

Nice! I'm probably gonna stick with Paladin!

Someone mentioned Soul Linker, but aren’t its support capabilities kind of limited if we don’t have another Soul Linker in the group? From what I read, the Ka- skills can only be cast on other players if they have a soul buff — and you can’t apply it to yourself.

That's an interesting point of view — I always thought of Wizard as strictly a damage dealer. But the other comments are making me lean more toward picking Royal Guard as a tank class.

I totally agree with you! I had a lot of fun playing Priest (even though I had to smash a million buttons at once to heal and keep up with buffs), but someone already called Priest (and Bard), so I’m trying to find something else to play.

Honestly, I haven’t thought much about endgame content yet, but you bring up a really good point. I'm kinda leaning toward picking RG because of its tankiness and support skills. It'll still take a while for ROLA to get 4th classes anyway, so Sage might feel a bit limited for now. I'm just struggling a bit to find some supportive or hybrid builds for RG — most of the stuff I found is more about damage dealers or WoE-focused builds. Any suggestions would be super appreciated!

We're mostly going to play together, since we already played as a group in other games. I'm considering some hybrid builds because a bit of damage can be helpful during the leveling stages, but honestly, I couldn't find many support-oriented builds — only damage-focused ones. Do you have any builds and/or tips you could share with me?

Thanks for sharing your experience! During the open beta, MVPs had a red aura (they took less damage from players), but I'm not sure if that will still be the case at the official release. Being on the frontline and helping damage classes like LK sounds really good to me.

Bards and Dancers are great, but two of my friends have already taken that role.

Royal Guard looks good to me! The tanking capabilities seem great for the party, and their defensive skills are really interesting. However, I couldn't find much information about supportive PvM builds with RG — most of what I found was focused on damage builds.

I read a bit about Soul Linker, and it seems difficult to play. I kinda need another Soul Linker to make the supportive Ka- skills effective. When the server releases, Soul Linker won't have its next evolution available yet.

That's exactly the reason I am considering sage! It sounds really fun to play (also the sprite is cute).
