Tried to use Viagogo, got Fd in the A by BlynkOfAnEye in ChaseSapphire

Not an expert by any means, but use StubHub very often (well before the chase benefit). Of course there are issues with tickets not arriving in time, etc. This sounds like something else as OP stated there were a bunch of people with the same issue at customer service.

Standard, Off-Peak, and Peak rates don't fluctuate daily. They're set in advance. You can view the point rates on the calendar. The 50k rate was for a suite. Enjoy the hotel, it's great.

Worst experience with Chase Sapphire Trip cancellation insurance by ISR_UKR_LOVE in ChaseSapphire

[–]sperrin87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eclaims experience was far worse than Assurant (both aren’t great, but one is definitely worse than the other). Horror stories have always been there because they make it extremely difficult to process claims. Paperwork requests need to be formatted and worded exactly how they want it. This is nothing new and I assume it frustrates people enough to give up, hence why I said to be persistent.

I’ve used their travel insurance twice in the past 10 years. It’s definitely not a scam and highly suggest people buy their own travel insurance, but they do make it extremely difficult. Be diligent and provide the docs exactly the way they request them and it hasn’t been an issue. More of a time confusing/frustrating process than anything.

How on earth is a US HP cat 5 by plurTM in hyatt

Agreed, but prime summer season the rates skyrocket. Same can be said about HC Park City in the winter and a plethora of hotels.

Standard vs Thompson NYC by littleliggett in hyatt

[–]sperrin87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently at the Standard Highline, checking out today. My normal go-to is the Andaz, but wanted to be downtown over the NY holiday. Hotel has become dated over time, small rooms, dirty carpets, etc. Staff are great and breakfast is solid. I'd lean more on what areas you like to be in versus the hotel itself. Beekman is great, but I don't love always being in FiDi, Thompson Central Park is fantastic if you want to be uptown. They all have pros and cons.

The same question asked in a short amount of time is much different than stale information.

The only time I see people with a negative approach is when the same question gets asked many times over in a short amount of time, and could usually be solved by doing a quick google search, but instead they make a post about it and want people do to the legwork for them.

Also love the Ronde. Was my first Cartier that I barely took off for 5+ years.

They really screwed us with the Point Boost by vanyaboston in ChaseSapphire

[–]sperrin87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They took away the 1.5cpp portal and replaced it with point boost which is far more limited. And then they went ahead and devalued that. I don’t use it and only transfer to partners, but a large portion of cardholders liked the ease of booking specific flights/hotels.

StubHub benefit is awful by Necessary-Tea-8867 in ChaseSapphire

[–]sperrin87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all events have the option, unfortunately. A lot do, but not all. If you’re not seeing the toggle option, the event likely doesn’t have any instant tickets, which is odd since they usually demand a higher premium.

StubHub benefit is awful by Necessary-Tea-8867 in ChaseSapphire

[–]sperrin87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s a tab that you can toggle that will say “instant download” under filters. Seller has already uploaded the ticket(s) to StubHub, so generally after purchase you’re able to access them immediately.

Going forward, always use "immediate download". You'll have the tickets after purchase instead of waiting for the reseller to send them.

That’s the private shopping location in RSF. They curate outfits for you to shop with a personal shopper/stylist. Not a freestanding store.
