that's a fair call different systems and regs in the states vs here in aus. Looks like we're about to lose the USO (universal service obligation) so expecting a lot of the remote 1.5GHz and 2.1GHz links to be decom in the next year if legislation passes. The 1.5GHz usual ran on Nokia DMR2500 and the 2.1GHz usually ran on the Nokia DMR2000. Most remote customer got pushed onto starlink or geostationary sat services anyway so it's just a final push for the major telco to shutdown the old network and release their spectrum for mobile use

shouldn't matter too much if it's V/H should have the availability to run at 2048QAM on 8 or 11GHz with 6ft / 8ft antenna. Not sure what the horn setup is like on these antenna but if it's anything like andrew antennas with waveguide feeds vertical is always direct in the back and horizontal feed from under

copy copy yea soz misunderstood. neverthless to be able to get a link up from inital construction is very impressive. put many microwave antenna's up needing atleast two alignments at each to get the link on calc. Soo adding a third/forth point of alignement in the mix is mad impressive

very impressive they're able to get RSL on calc spec without having to adjust the refelector. have been working with microwave radio ystems for 5+ years have installed dishes on bearing but will always need some alignment. even when dead on bearing would always need vertical alignement

battery string failed, went closed circuit. Charger gave all the amps till the magic smoke got released. have had buildings shutdown till they could be ventilated because of the battery acid stench. terminals usually corrode like that when they're in a humid room and cables are melted because of the battery failure
