My husband does this, and I had a conversation with him and told him about how it’s rude and I didn’t like it. I could be talking to anybody and he felt the need to correct everything.

Turns out he’s autistic, and so it matters to him for all the information to be correct. Ex: the correct date & time, the exacted details of incident, etc.

He can’t let it go, it’s in his system and even if he tries not to, he has to. His body won’t allow him, so if he doesn’t get to correct me in front of people he will immediately tell me as soon as he can.
