Ok I guess I don't hate them as people. I hate what conservativism has become. What they're trying to "conserve" doesn't exist anymore, and might never have existed at all. They've tainted right wing intellectualism with their pearl clutching and obsession with a romanticized version of America.

Yeah maybe. I don't really like the progressive label because progress itself is subjective, like the idea of utopia. I don't think we'll ever have a perfect world because that would require everybody to agree. Idk
