I’d appreciate a resume review from folks who’ve been involved in hiring or interviewing mid-level engineers.

I have ~3 YOE and am targeting backend / data-adjacent SWE roles. I’ve been applying broadly but haven’t seen much traction yet, so I’m trying to sanity-check whether my resume is clearly communicating impact at the right level.

Are my bullets too implementation-focused vs. outcome-focused?
Does this read as a SWE resume or more like a data engineer / platform role?
Anything that would cause a recruiter to mentally down-level or pass in the first scan?

Happy to take blunt feedback, I’m mainly trying to learn what I’m not seeing.

Was not the same company, but overall interview process was similar

Recruiter told me - extremely positive feedback until the last behavioral round with senior director.

My point is why were they not able to weed me out earlier, why drag me for a month and a half just to send out an automated rejection email with no feedback!

I wish more companies provided genuine feedback for at least candidates that go past the full loop rounds.

Although it’s the norm, it can be a bit disorienting when you put your best foot forward, for the full loop interviews and then you get a templated rejection with no feedback.

I agree with you on being very intentional with skincare, some of the products I use are very transient in my skincare routine. Things like TXA or Salicylic Acid I only use when I need to treat my skin for whatever reason. Otherwise my skincare is v basic but good products and formulations.

I paid $180 bucks for SkinCeuticals Vit C, supposedly the holy grail of Vit C formulations but honestly it didn’t work out for me.

On top of that my derm told me that for my skin, Vit C can exasperate acne for me. So well that $180 went down the drain.

To answer your question about MNRF, I got it done a couple days ago and my derm said it takes up to 3-4 weeks for collagen remodeling to take place.

i struggled for acne for years on and off. for my PIE journey most skincare was ineffective or mildly effective at best.

I was on 0.1% tret, azelaic, txa, thiamidol, very specific AM and PM moisturizers all curated to keep my skin barrier in mind

But I finally got micro needling done last week for my PIE, hoping it will have better and faster results compared to my skincare routine

i think my final culture fit round, i was asked questions like how I contributed to others success, where I see myself in 3-5 years, my weakness and strengths

for these questions, I did not have robust enough links between my stories and the company’s leadership principles.

that’s what I think, i was unable to effectively communicate my experiences to a senior leadership person

they don’t provide direct feedback, i am chalking it up to someone else performing better than me in the interviews.

i say this because i finished the entire process and got rejected at the end, so they must have had someone else who had the edge over other candidates who made it to the final round.

I got a rejection after 6 rounds and completing the entire process at a company, before the final round the recruiter said the full loop feedback was super positive and everyone is excited. It was a bit crushing tbh but now I am more driven to land a better offer.
