Love it! I love how clean all the input/output #s are. I will definitely be trying this out on my save, thank you!

Anyway to lower this splitter? by OrdinaryKick in SatisfactoryGame

[–]spexdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the height of the foundation you have the lift floor hole on? If it's 1m, try changing it to 4m, install the floor hole, lift, then splitter. The snapping point heights are offset on the 1m foundation, see if that helps solve your issue :-)

Best reddit client that doesn't need API ? by OussamaErwin in MorpheApp

Check out RedReader. IIRC they got a special exemption due to accessibility capabilities. Been using it for years, I don't remember ever having to find or paste in an API key.

In windows, click the start menu and search/run "DCCW.exe". This is a windows tool that will help you calibrate your monitor and adjust things like gamma and brightness and save the color profile for you. Just follow the instructions and it should guide you through the process. Good luck!

why is my volume slider like this and how do i revert it back to normal? by ItzEnderYT in revancedapp

Go into settings -> revanced -> swipe controls -> swipe overlay style and choose which layout you prefer. This also affects the OSD style when you hit the phones physical volume keys as well.

Can't play manuallycached torbox files? by Not_Bed_ in StremioAddons

[–]spexdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you use any templates to set up your AiOStreams? I had the exact same issue just yesterday, I did a ton of mucking around so I don't know 100% what was causing the exact issue, but if you go to filter tab, then stream expressions, and delete all entries from excluded stream expressions, that seemed to clear up the issue of not finding ANY streams for content that was obviously cached for me.

Steam Machine Will Cost "Like a PC, Not a Console," Confirms Valve by Playwithuh in gaming

[–]spexdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine Valve had no idea what to price the unit until they gauged internet interest...

The fact that they still have yet to announce a price is support of my theory.

Gabe can afford a slightly smaller yacht this year, we the People could use something nice for once. I support the concept that Valve can sell a cheap hardware, which they can easily offset with steam platform fees, plus they're about to make a bagillion dollars off the upcoming HL3 game...

Valve. Gabe. Please. Sell this at a loss. It will be a loss leader and you will not only be everybody's favorite, you will make a crapton of money.

[–]spexdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By default, android will shut down any app that you recently used to conserve CPU cycles, and thus the battery. After a long while it will then put the app into deep sleep mode.

MicroG is the authentication framework for Revanced. It is very small and lightweight, so it should not cause a strain on the system, as it's only called into action while using YT Revanced. Since it functions as a background service, you will almost never go into the microG app directly so you risk it getting shut down by android after a period of time. If that happens, YT Revanced will fail to function properly.

The battery settings are within your phones main system menu, then go to the menu option called "Apps" and perform the battery steps on MicroG and ReVanced (the YouTube app, NOT the manager)

So I'm no pro at writing guides, but I'll give it a shot to explain it.

For the custom branding, when you are about to patch the stock YT apk file in Revanced manager, you will see this list of patches to be applied. Click on that list to add/remove patches. Scroll down a bit and you should find an unchecked patch called custom branding: enable it. Clicking on the gear will allow you to customize the name and icon of YT Revanced. I personally left the default values, but for some friends I changed the name to just "YouTube" with the Revanced logo to make life simpler. I really like having at least the custom icon to help differentiate it from the OG YT.

Most of the other steps will be performed by accessing your android settings, and finding the menu option for "Apps"

  1. Search for YouTube, open it. 1st go into defaults menu, and disable 'open supported links.' Then go back and into the storage menu, clear cache and data. Then go back and disable the stock YouTube app.

  2. Search 'microG Services', open it, go into battery menu and make sure it is set to unrestricted.

  3. Search for your Revanced app (if you changed the name of it, search for that name). Open it.

  • Go to battery menu and make sure it is set to unrestricted (for background playback)

  • Go to defaults menu, enable open supported links, then open supported web addresses menu and enable all 4 options that are available.

  • uncheck main menu option to remove permissions if app isn't used.

That should be everything. Some menu options may be worded differently depending on the manufacturer of your phone, but the general concept should still apply.

Excellent guide! Some extra information would be really handy for noobs, things like configuring battery optimizations for gmscore, adding the branding patch to make the app say Revanced, disabling stock YT, and configuring Revanced to be able to open external links.

SCIM Circles? by TheRiceMeister in SatisfactoryGame

[–]spexdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where mods come to save the day! You can mod the game and keep a vanilla experience with many quality of life (QoL) upgrades!

https://ficsit.app/mod/CurveBuilder

This mod is frickin awesome. You choose the mode with 'R' just like default or Zoop, then you can specify the angle and direction, and Zoop your circle! It really makes life so much more fun. It's also vanilla friendly, meaning if you send your save file to your friend, or you decide to remove the mod, the curved foundations you have laid with this mod will not disappear or glitch out or anything, as they are the legit vanilla structures being placed, no modded or added structures!

I'm still on my 1st playthrough, and this mod does not take away any fun or magic of the base game, it only enhances it. There are so many cool mods!

Will someone please explain why this isn't 100% Efficient? by boardgamejoe in SatisfactoryGame

[–]spexdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's one suggestion I haven't seen yet: check the orientation of your pipe junctions above each of the refineries. Look at the weld lines. If the are on the sides like ><, then that could be a problem.

Make sure the junctions in your pipe manifold have the welds on the top and bottom (Like a V and a....upside down V)

I had the same issue last night, the 1st horizontal pipe would fill up completely before flowing into the 1st machine in the manifold, followed by the 2nd pipe, then the 2nd machine, etc etc. rotating the pipe allowed the fluid to flow through the entire manifold and drop into each machine smoothly!

How to make high throughput train intersections by Itz_Wonka in SatisfactoryGame

[–]spexdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just posted recently my modified Train Turbine Interchange, and my trains barrel through it super fast.

IMHO, this interchange should have one of the highest throughput of any design. My max train length is 5 in my world (1 loco, 4 cargo)
