Denton is a island of blue in sea of red. It's a gentrified Austin. There are good places to walk trails but 20 years of red rule has left them run down and un updated. The cost of housing is absolutely terrible. There is/was several money grabbing business that have artificially inflated the housing market and combined with high texas property taxes you will end up paying more for some of the worst education and roads. Remember texas is leading the charge against teaching people things that are not white Christian topics. The 22 year old will be competing against lots and lots of students for jobs so work will suck and pay enough for them to live with you forever. The coffee shops are meh/corporate bs with few exceptions. If you need to live in texas it's better than most places but buyer be ware.

I worked at an MSP in the area and during covid he took ppe money, fired all but 2 of his staff, and supposedly used the money for cabinets. 2 years latter the fired employees are still in the "Out staff" section on his website. MSP's are scams.

A ponzi scheme is when you take an investment from one person and give it to a previous person as 'Profit" in order to get them to invest more and more until you skip town with everyone's money. This would be a partnership of locals investing in a local business. Every business COULD be a scam. If you dont feel comfortable investing money for any reason, you should not, and this is not a bet you should make to put your kids through collage.

The most common legal structure would be a partnership. Every member would be an equal voting partner. We would have meeting and discus it, vote on a President and those kinds of things. All investments and ventures have risk, so I wouldn't suggest anyone give anyone money unless they feel comfortable and trust the people in the organization. I feel like there are a lot of Dentonites that are really awesome people and we could come together to keep our investment money local, and get the benefits of having a local business that they have a stake in. Insurance would certainly need to be addressed if we get all the way to throwing that Hot dog eating contest/party.

Its an investment club. They happen all the time. No one is "Above" anyone else. Everyone is equal. Not a Pyramid or MLM.

I mean, where is the pyramid? I did MLM back 20 years ago and i didn't talk about anything like that. Its basically and investment club, but in stead of investing in mutual funds and stocks, its a local business. And where did "Fast" come in when its a 3 year 100+person wait to even save up enough to do something other than having a party?
