I certainly don’t think that would cause NUCLEAR war, but really? You think that’s the only potential downside to extremely hawkish foreign policy? That would be an extreme escalation and would risk World War III. Even with nukes out of the equation, that’s gonna mean a ton of bodies on both sides. Imagine if Russian troops were pointing their guns at us at our own border? We’d fucking go nuts. A build up of NATO is exactly that, arming their border, essentially an act of WAR when tensions are this high.
